   1st! I was there, she was so beautiful and she really put on a show! a little slow in the middle with the amount of slow songs, but a great start and finish. She also did a tribute to Barack Obama with "At last"!!! You go GIRL!!

    That was fierce; Alannis would love it. Alannis is a Canadian artist, and rather than thinking she's 'stealing somebody else's songs', vocalists do them as a nod or tribute to the original songwriter/artist. After all, she was playing Edmonton, and that's in the province of Alberta, Canada.

    Singers chafe at being pigeonholed into one kind of music, and it's fun, fun, fun to break out of the mold here and there. You can die of boredom after performing the same hits hundreds and hundreds of time. By that stage, sometimes you're mentally planning your dinner while rocking out the chorus.
