Robert Pattinson has quashed rumours that he is not particularly hygienic, reassuring fans that he does indeed shower.

"I haven't even been on the set yet," he told MovieFone.com, when told that sources from the set of Twilight sequel New Moon, had labelled the British actor "stinky".

"I also do shower," he added, before joking that he regularly reads his negative press.

"I only look at the negative stuff," said Robert.

"I just want to know whoever's saying negative stuff, and I just want to remember their names. I write it all down in my black book."

first of all…that comment that he made is like from what last year. i mean hello. anyone who is a true Rob fan knows that he puts himself down alot. i think all of his self depreciating comes from the fact that he very shy and gets embarassed when it comes to himself and being looked at as being sexy. so he will say things like ohhhhh i dont clean my apartment …i dont wash my hair, yada yada hoping that people will stop looking at him like that. and im soooo sorry for Rob but it has backfired. it actually makes him more sexy of which im sure he cannot understand. i guess he figured well the more dirty i make myself look the more all these women will be turned off. all i can say it that i refuse to beleive that he stinks to the point where people are actually grossed out. i just cannot see him wearing an Armani suit while smelling like garbage. but dont be confused either. alot of Rob's comments was when he was doing the Twilight premieres going from country to country for the movie. he was living out of a suitcase even saying he did not have time to wash his clothes. i think that there are times where he is just overwhelmed by his overnight success. and he is trying his best to handle it. all i can say is that i love him to pieces and i wish him the best in New Moon.
