What is CNN doing wrong? Propagandizing for the anti-American Left, not informing the American people of Obama's past, which was spent working alongside Marxists. They just left that out and now we will pay a horrific price. Another problem of CNN's - never showing the terror the Palestinians inflict on the Israelis, which is the reason the Israelis retaliate.

The mainstream media has betrayed us by not giving us the information we need to try to stay free and safe. I will never watch CNN again (except for when I'm in the airports and there's no escaping them).

Fox's ratings are soaring while CNN's are tanking because Fox presents liberal and conservative points of view on just about every issue, so you get to hear both sides of the story and not just liberal propaganda.

The younger generation, thankfully, of which I no longer belong, have eyes to see the crap they peddle. The music alone is enough to make you insane. The fear, constant fear is not being bought anymore. We know about 911, we know about all the Obamas. They can't sell this with all the old ways of doing things. This worked during Vietnam, people sucked that shit up like crazy, I know I watched my parents with their new fangled T.V.'s. Mezmorized, believing whatever was said by the media of the day.

Where do I start?

1) The quality of anchors on CNN is dismal. You want honesty? Tony Harris needs to go. Rick Sanchez needs. John Roberts needs to go.

2) WOLF BLITZER NEEDS TO GO. He comes across like a monotone blowhard who is way to happy with his own self. He is boring and his show is too long. 30 minutes a day of this guy is long enough. Period.

3) THERE IS A F'*ng COMMERCIAL EVERY 10 SECONDS ON THIS CHANNEL. Everytime I turn this channel on I don't get news. I get a commercial for some medication or Garlique. This tells me the most about CNN's target audience (or at least their current viewing audience). That age of people is dying out CNN. It's time to freshen up the shows and blood to round up a new, younger audience.

3) The integrity of the reporting on CNN and other "news" stations is questionable at best. I am sick and tired of hearing opinion and speculation being pushed off as news. Give me the facts and let me decide how I think. Don't report on a story until you know the facts…ALL the facts. News is like life…the strong will adapt and survive and the rest will die off. Survival of the fit, folks.

CNN sucks and that is why they are losing market share.

I'm not assuming things out of thin air. I saw your post in addition to many other posts claiming these things. People are claiming CNN is going down because it is too liberal, while Fox is doing well because it is "real news." That is not the case. Fox is not real news, as you have pointed out yourself, but rather an "opinion-delivery" outlet. It shouldn't be purported by, as you put it, the "unintelligent audience" posting on this site as being a real news source.

It's amazing how the annonymity of the internet makes people so bold and harsh. Reading the comments I would think if those of you of one opinion were to run into those of the other pistols would be drawn at ten paces. Thankfully most people are terrified of real confrontation, but the groundwork has been laid I'm afraid. We will most likely have to divorce at some point, hopefully before civility leaves us. But the odds of that are slim at best. The debate here, and especially on the websites of these news networks, back this up. And the news agencies bare a large part of that blame in their quest for ratings and over the top BS. Sadly, most people are far too stupid to realize the difference between opinion and news, delivery and substance. How did we get here? Schools, TV, lack of parenting, too much easy living. Bread and circuses. What's the over under on how many more years we have?

Here is the problem. CNN leans left, which isn't a problem. The problem is that when you are a journalist, or rather a station filled with journalists, your goal is to be impartial. CNN doesn't attempt to do that. They have essentially become a mouthpiece for the Democratic Party. And, quite frankily, people don't support Democratic leaning organizations. Look at Air America Radio, they have hardly any listeners and they have had numerous issues with money including bankruptcy.

In comparison, Fox is more balanced. Certain commentators, like Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity, are commentators not reporters. So, they have a right to state their opinion in the same way Anderson Cooper does. The difference is that they get smart Democratic analysts, like Bob Beckel. In addition, Shep Smith and Geraldo, both prominent Democrats have shows on Fox. CNN allows no conservative commentators to do shows or look good. So, it is more fair and people respect that. Why do you think all the newspapers went out of business. They aren't doing their jobs, so people don't want to pay for them. You want the news, not a piece of propoganda. Do you job and ratings go up! Fox does.

I know why their ratings are down, and it isn't as simple as people choosing not to watch. I have 'dishnetwork. They offer 3-packages. 1-Basic/fewest channels (includes CNN), 2-family/more channels (does NOT include CNN), and the 3rd package that does include CNN. I suspect a lot of people have the 'family package, and CNN is not part of that package (fox news is though).

The actual new is so bleak that no one really wants to hear or see it in order just to cope with the world we live in now. CNN is also out of step, too old fashion except for Anderson Cooper. CNN put Wolf Biltzer in as the new presenter but Jack Caaffery really shoud be the presenter because he has the "it" quality not Biltzer the old stuff shirt. CNN just dosen't see it, nor will they!
MSNBC is more upbeat with the news and presents is in an entertaining way…

If that is the case, why is that Geraldo and Shep Smith, who are staunch Democrats have shows on Fox. Also, why do they have strong analysts like Bob Beckel, who was a consultant to Walter Mondale on. In comparison, name one person with a show on CNN that is a Republican. Also, it is difficult to name one Republican analyst on CNN or MSNBC that is well respected. So, Fox is way more balanced that the other networks and the reason why their ratings are high. I studied journalism and I can tell you that the goal is to be impartial and report the stories. While Fox commentators, like Sean Hannity, proclaim their right leanings, they are not the reporters. They have a right to their opinion like Anderson Cooper has a right to be a Democrat with an opinion. But, don't you find it odd that when Obama has a bad day, CNN spins it. Or when a Democratic Governor like Rod Blagovich is referred to on CNN as former Illinois Governor. Then, when referring to the other former Illinois Governor, they say jailed Republican Governor Ryan. The thing is, people see it and hear it, and they are tired of it. They go to Fox which keeps it more partial. Tell the story and keep the opinion out of it. Fox reporters do that.

I don't think the talent is the problem. They spend too much time in the studio covering the economy. Cooper needs to get back to his roots and out in the field more (he did it last week from the Mexican boarder and it was great). They also need to cover more international news and consider moving Lou Dobbs to HLN, or to the second hour of 360, and giving Jack Cafferty a show. Having said that, I think they are doing a great job.

They have the same problem that Domino's Pizza had when they tried to copy Pizza Hut's flavor. With no difference between the two, their market didn't like them anymore and Pizza Hut's market had no reason to leave.
