By involving and educating the community, Main Line Animal Rescue works to raise the public's awareness of the plight of homeless animals as well as realizing the benefits of adopting an animal in need. Our animals are examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and receive any and all medical treatment before they are placed in carefully screened homes."

I'VE VOLUNTEERED HERE BEFORE AND IT WAS GREAT!!!! EVERYONE SHOULD DONATE SOME MONEY TO THIS PLACE. THE WORK THEY DO IS AMAZING.
THE SHELTER IS RIGHT NEAR PHILLY. THEY ALSO WORK ON EDUCATING PEOPLE AGAINST PUPPY MILLS.
REMEMBER PEOPLE DO NOT BUY A PET FROM A PUPPY MILL!!!! ADOPT OR GET ONE FROM A RESPECTABLE BREEDER. THE OWNER OF THIS PLACE, BILL SMITH, WAS ON OPRAH TWICE!!! YOUTUBE SEARCH IT. HE'S A GREAT ANIMAL ACTIVIST.
PLEASE AT LEAST CHECK OUT THE SITE, THIS PLACE IS GREAT!!!!!!!

What many people don't realize about this organization and many other rescue groups. including the ASPCA, is that they are very anti breeder. Everyone out there who wants a cute yorkie or labradoodle, these groups want to out law dog breeding and even the AKC so that you will no longer be able get a specific dog breed. While I'm all for saving animals I do want the choice to also buy my specific breed from a responsible breeder of my choice. Do some research about some of these groups. It's not pretty the control they'd like to have.

These people are great, i adopted a dog here, unfortunatly she didnt work out for our family (she became violent) but Main Line took her back and now she is one of their mascot dogs. They are wonderful people who take dogs from all over.
And in response to guthrie007 rescues have no problems with breeders, the problems with the breeders is the crutely they have with the animals and the lack of compassion.
