Chace Crawford is scrounging for Zac Efron's sloppy seconds. The Gossip Girl hottie reportedly screen tested for the remake of Footloose this weekend!
Crawford auditioned for Kevin Bacon's role in the remake, which was originally nabbed by our beloved Zacquisha before Efron dropped out because he wanted to take on more "serious" roles.
Although Crawford is known more for bringing the dramz on GG and less for his singing and dancing talents, sources have spilled that Chase "did really well" during his screen test!

Congratulations and best wishes to Chace - he seems to have some natural charisma, unlike the complete plasticity of the Poof-Pony, and if he can sing and execute basic dance steps, he should do just fine, and break out of the TV-only typecasting.

And as for Q-Tip Boi, she, oops, he should remember that Kevin Bacon has had a VERY respectable 25-year career after doing the original 'Footloose'. The Poof-Pony should remember that a few years from now, when he is reduced to giving blow jobs to get parts in Grade-Z films.

Also, in HSM3 Zac Efron did a solo routine called Scream at the school where a part of it looked very much like a scene from Footloose where Kevin Bacon did a solo dance routine in a garage, I think it was.
