Geena Davis resurfaced at the White House Project event in NYC on Monday night, helping announce the Epic awards for innovators who promote positive images of women's leadership.

Sounds like a great cause, but where on earth did they find her?

Was she stuck under a restaurant table?

She's been heading up some sort of research study as to why there are 4 times the ratio of male characters than female characters on childrens shows and the impacts of it. She also tried out for the archery team for the olympics and palced something like 115 out of all the other candidates.

I love Geena Davis! She is one of the first actresses I remember, because Beetle Juice was my favorite movie when I was little. Just because she isn't whoring herself out, doesn't mean she is Z-list. She also is a member of Mensa, which I'm sure all of your friends are part of. She also has a movie coming out this year "Accidents Happen"!

I love her! Such a strong woman who has played so many memorable women!! And it sounds like she's supporting other women too, which is even cooler! If more celebs put their minds to it like she has Hollywood would be far less vapid. But then again, if Hollywood was far less vapid, Perez would be out of work, so I guess it makes sense that he's focused on the shallow and the stupid instead of applauding her for her work!
