ok then, so if they lift the ban, you'd be the first to enroll? i doubt it!

    2. 2

This is rediculous. At this point in time they should be happy that anyone wants to serve, and its not like being gay is being mentally handicapped. For a progressive society we are a sad excuse of equal rights.

    3. 3

      YES!!!!!!!!!
      *

      GO ARMED FORCES!!!!!
      *
      *
      YES!!!!!

    4. 4

      Perez,

If members of the military were allowed to be openly gay, it would cause a lot of logistical problems. Most members of the military that live on base live in barracks decided on by sex. If they were openly gay then it would mean they would have to have a separate dorm for gay men, straight men, gay women, and straight women. I know many members of the military who are gay and have partners and are happy. They know the rules, and they deal with it because their desire to serve their country is so great.

    5. 5

      FUCK YOU PEREZ

Dont you dare talk shit about our men and women in uniform. Of course not everyone is close minded. I have several soldiers living at my house, including a lesbian soldier and my soldier husband does not mind.

    6. 6

are you gonna join the army perez??

    7. 7

I love how you are lumping all military together. Do you like it when people lump all liberals together or all paparazzi together?

    8. diddy says – reply to this

      8

They will let ANY straight person into the military. I would rather serve next to a bunch of queens then a bunch of dirt bag men trying to slip into my camies. There are some truely horrible people in the services and it's really nothing to be proud of anymore. These old men are just homophobes it has nothing to do with the military "standards". I call bullshit.

    9. 9

There are gay/lesbian's in all branches of the service already! Its ridiculous that we have to play these games! just lift the ban and move on.

    10. 10

Ohhh How right you are! I believe gays should be the FIRST people considered for military service! They should immediately be placed on the front lines along with the blacks. Also poking mysterious devices along the side of the road (IED's) with a stick. Also searching for mines by prancing thru unknown areas. How's that Private Perez?

    11. Kelsy says – reply to this

      11

HELLO No. Listen I served for a long time, too long to mention…ANYWAY…I was there b4 the Don't Ask Don't Tell era…and knew of many people whose preferences were different than mine. Who gives a shit? They did their job and minded their business. They were soldiers just like me. Their preferences were never an issue, they never made them one. As long as that continued let it alone.. This shit needs to be put to bed. These idiots have a mindset that Gay people are going to recruit them into that lifestyle or try and run around in pink tutu's, as if most Gay people would join anyway…the Military is not for everyone, period. The only legitimate argument they could possibly have (which I have not heard anyone make yet) is some one using the discrimination b/c they are Gay excuse if they were not promoted. Live and Let Live.

    12. 12

I don't se you joining up Perez. it takes a special kind of person gay or not to be a soldier. We don't need the flamoyant limp wristed type putting the moves on our serious soldiers.

    13. Kelsy says – reply to this

      13

Re: STFUP – Childish comment…first of all WOMEN are in combat. Second of all, are you going to have your uniform falling down around your knees? I seriously doubt any Gay person is going to be worried about checking out your ass while ur "trying to get a bead on the enemy".

    14. 14

i wish everyone would just ignore the rule and just tell
      then maybe they'd see

    15. 15

Re: diddy – You are an idiot. You don't understand what these men and women have done for you….you are an ingrate.

    17. 17

stop getting hung up on the details perez jus wants people to be able to live outside of the closet
pretending to be straight when you arent is so hard when youre so proud and i think we all deserve to be proud

    18. 18

First of all this has to be the most hideous post you have ever written. I am married to a military man serving overseas so you have the freedom to write this trash. I enjoy reading your site everyday but than to find out you are talking shit is going to make me stop reading your stuff. How dare you say ANYTHING? The thing you need to remember, if you dont stand behind our troops feel free to stand in front of them. I guarantee you wont! Hooah!

    20. 20

I am a soldier and no I'm not close minded and you'd be suprised how many gays there are in there

    21. 21

perez it's a lot of the old school military guys that are closed minded but think about the era that they grew up in. my husband's military and we know a lot of gays men and women who are all excepted by those who "know" without anything being said. that's why it's "don't ask, don't tell" if you know you know it's just not openly admitted.

    22. 22

#1. Military people are very conservative. That's a fact and they are entitled to their opinion just as much as you are. They come from all over the country and are trained to conform to standards and serve. They get all their post high school education from the military.
      .
#2. I have a good friend who is ex-military AND gay and he's even told me that he doesn't think the military is ready for openly gay service. People are DEPENDING on each other for THEIR LIVES and forcing a controvercial morality on them could be dangerous.
      .
#3. I live in VA Beach, next to Norfolk, home of the world's largest Navy base, plus two or three other Navy bases. My two roommates are gay and ones boyfriend works in one of the very well frequented gay bars around here. We just had a couple of ships come in from deployment and the gay bars were flush with military men.
      .
There are PLENTY of gays serving happily in the military. There are plenty of gays who served 20 years and retired happily from the military.

    23. 23

NO - not everyone in the military is a bigoted a-hole. My husband is in the Air Force and he called my male gay BFF and personally asked him to be in our wedding…..so there's at least ONE military member with an open mind.

    24. 24

Allowing openly gays in the military is the worst thing you can do in the military dammit. This is just plain disgusting. This would just demean our military and go against all the values of the military. How much more can we say we are fucking weak in the US than allowing openly gay individuals in?Just get rid of the military why don't you?If you want to be gay then be gay but not in the greatest military in the world. That's your choice of lifestyle they do not need to bring in and make other men uncomfortable ,what are they going to wear pink camo???I'd expect you to join then Perez!

    25. 25

      That's awful,
I don't understand how anybody can be that terrible.

    26. 26

This should be the last thing that Obama should being looking to fix….our econmic issues should be first and last on his plate. besides the fact that the "don't ask, don't tell" policy is in place to protect the homos. And tell me why everybody else in the arm forces should have to feel uncomfortable around a handful of confused men and women?

    27. 27

and as a military wife, i think its disguisting that you would dare to even put such a post, trying to put every military member in one horrible category.
      watch your fucking mouth.

    28. 28

Wow - the bulk of the previous comments are really unfriendly!
      I am in the Army.
      I support Gay Rights.
These other posts make me ill.
      But everyone is different.

But Boo to those who can't manage to be tolerant.

And by the way KidKoala - the gay ban was lifted. It's still restrictive - you can't be really all that open - but we do take homosexuals.
STFUP - Hi. They don't let us womenfolk in the combat arms - that is not the same as not letting us into combat. People like Jessica Lynch have proven there anyone can be in combat. Please don't shit on my sisters-in-arms like that with your lack of knowledge. We are in combat almost as often as men. Big Difference.
Most Soldiers do *not* live on base. The numbers are less than 15% - we don't have enough barracks most places.
So Stuff It and stop hate-mongering on behalf of an organization YOU are not part of.
**Proud to be a Soldier even in an imperfect Army**

    29. 29

Perez, I just lost ALL MY RESPECT for you! How DARE you, talk shit about the Military! I don't see you in a war zone, protecting our freedom. You certainly take advantage of the freedom that the soldiers are fighting for. How DARE you say they are disgusting. I am HAPPILY married to a US Soldier currently serving in this war. This is his third tour over there and it's years away from his wife, children and family that he will never get back. We have lost many, many friends, great soldiers, men and women who gave the ultimate sacrafice for this country and YOUR freedom. You should choose your words more carefully. Don't just put out there the phrase "…..all ppl in the military…" You are the one who is closed minded. I am so upset with this posting, I dont know what to do. I USED to come to your site, two or three times and day. I WON'T be back. I know that doesn't mean a lot to you, what is one person, won't make any difference, right? I don't care. My respect for you has gone down the toilet. FUCK YOU, PEREZ! HOOAH

    30. 30

Actually, the commanders suggestion that gay men and women would hamper the military forces is completely without merit. Quite the contrary, if they would do some research, they would find that historically the strongest military forces in the world had no anti-homosexuality systems in place and often led to a stronger force simply because of the fact that these "brothers in arms" were fighting next to each other and held such greater passion for defeating the enemy. Often, many of the "straight men" would go off to war for years at a time and begin homosexual relationships while fighting because they were lonely and it made their passion for fighting all the more real. After they simply went back to their homes and became "straight " again.

    31. 31

Re: Armywifey – Perez, obviously has no idea what a deployment does to a family and worst of all losing someone who has died proudly because he died for his country, those are the people of the real america, none of this celebrity spoiled brats, maybe you should leave the confort of your desk and look around perez, you might be surprised at what you find

    32. 32

Re: STFUP – ummm duh… you really should try and discuss subjects you know nothing about. Do you check out and try to f*ck every single women at your work or at your school? Now try and imagine having people who are seriously trying to kill you. The last thing on anyones mind is wetehr or not u have a nice ass. (you don't btw)

    33. 33

Fuck that! I'm an officer in the military and I don't feel that way!!!

    34. Token says – reply to this

      34

Dear Perez, no not ALL service members are that close minded. My husband served 6 years Army, full year in Iraq.. and he could give a shit if the person next to him was gay, straight, pans, asexual, whatever! To the people that are all "I dont want some f*g* next to me".. let me quote A.P.3. "Listen BREEDER, not EVERY gay man wants to have sex with you". Get over yourself. I'm sure gay men are just DYING to get between your booty cheeks. As for the whole barracks issue? I can understand that point to a degree… but … what about the straight men breaking in female dorms and RAPING them, and getting away with it as well. (The statistics are SCARY). SO no, Mr. Perez, not ALL our soldiers are that bigoted. But unfortunately many are raised to think a certain way (conditioning).. you can't fault a person for innocent ignorance, only fault them for not looking outside the box.

    35. 35

Those people aren't in the military, they are a bunch of old men who retired.

    36. 36

      Hi.
I'm a female in the army.
Trust me - we go into combat too.
As far as someone checking out your ass while you are trying to get a bead on the enemy? You flatter yourself. You are obviously too big a jerk to have to worry about attracting much of anyone with a brain.
HELLO!!! You can still be in the military if you are a homosexual! Did everyone just not pay attention? I know of several of my friends who happen to be gay AND are army Rangers - about as tough as it gets.
By the way diddy - putting on a uniform doesn't change the metal you're made out of. if you were a shit bag before you'll still be one later.
But the vast majority of armed service members are deeply honorable people just doing their duty and keeping your ignorant ass out of the draft.
There are several people who've commented I would be disgusted to see in uniform - but I'm glad to see by how uninformed they seem to be about military life that they probably aren't and just watch war movies and assume they know everything and speak on our behalf.
      'SCREAMIN EAGLES!'

    37. 37

As someone who has been in the armed forces I would have to say I agree for the most part. Not only the logistical problems someone listed below but come on…who wants Ru Paul or someone like that next to you in a fire fight??? There's nothing wrong with being gay and proud, but the military is probably not the place for it since there are so many 'macho' men who may have issues with it.

    38. 38

Yeah Perez - thanks for lumping all of us together into one category.

I know you would not approve of it if roles were reversed.

      Ouch.

    39. 39

Hey love shouldn't hurt like this -
No. We don't get ALL our post highschool education from the military.
      Not even close.
      I hold two master's degrees.
I didn't get them from Uncle Sam.

And you HAVE to have some college education anymore to get promoted to being an NCO.

    40. 40

More proof that "military intelligence" is an oxymoron!

    41. 41

      No they are not!

    42. 42

The reason why don't ask, don't tell exists is for the safety of members of the military. There is A LOT of alcohol use in the military. Haven't you seen the movie "Soldier Girl"? What happens when there are a bunch of drunken idiots and one of them is gay hits on a straight one? Someone either gets the living shit kicked out of them or gets killed. Perez, you are ignorant.

    43. 43

My husband is in the U.S. Army and he proudly supports gays joining! Your lifestyle should not be a factor in joining any military program. Like someone said before it should not matter whatsoever if we need people to fight for our country, what happened to America???

    44. Hole says – reply to this

      44

Ok dipshit…the reason for this is not in your favor but for the good of the overall morale of the soldiers. Their are too many red neck racists(like Jigsaw) who join the army and then spread their hatred onto whoever is openly gay. It eliminates any potential threats and keeps the focus on what they are there for. It also probably lowers the amount of rape cases. Man on Man…but you would like that Jigsaw wouldn't you?

    45. 45

To all you Military wives … shut the fuck up! I have served my time in the Military and I have a boyfriend who is overseas right now, just like your husbands, and he would be happy to have gays and lesbians fight along side him. If they can make it through basic training and all of the other unnecessary training that the armed forces puts our troops through, they can definitely fight our wars. So anyone that thinks differently needs to go spend 13 weeks in basic. When you come back, tell me that a gay man or woman that made it through THAT shouldn't be allowed to fight.

@BeNiceYall: Fuck you. He wasn't talking shit about the men and women in uniform.

@ArmyWifey: You shut the fuck up too. Our troops aren't fighting for our freedom anymore, they're fighting to keep the peace. Maybe you should talk to your soldier a little more before you come on this blog and make yourself look like a moron.

@Lizzzz: Go to hell you fucking ignorant bitch.

And to everyone else, god damnit, Perez isn't talking shit! I don't see any of you willing joining to fight along side our soldiers! I didn't spend four years earning my rank as Sargent in the Marines to read the dumb shit that some of you have written. The lot of you make me sick.

    46. 46

Re: U_SUCK_DONKEY_DICKS – That was a fucking movie moron!

    47. 47

No, actually not everyone in the military is like that, it is usually really old officers and NCOs. MOST people in the military could give a shit less if you are gay. I know two guys in my husbands company that are in a relationship with each other and a few lesbians….just in his small company. Fuck, THEIR NCOs know about them and they don't give a shit, they always say it is none of our business. You really shouldn't generalize groups of people like that, just because a few officers in the military feel that way doesn't mean all of the soldiers feel that way. The soldiers sexual preference doesn't have any effect on how they do their job.

    48. 48

Can someone please tell me why it's such an important thing for a gay person to be openly gay in the military? Far as I'm concerned, keep the don't ask don't tell. It keeps out unnecessary distractions, and it's not the end of the world if everyone and their moms don't know that you're gay. Seriously, the gays in this country need to grow some thicker skin and stop being so sensitive.

    49. 49

Above all of this, many soldiers are uncomfortable with homosexuality. Do you really want one of your gay pals getting beat to death? I'm not saying every soldier is like that, but there are some out there that will sadly beat up someone different than them. It's just like high school, but worse. Do you really want your friends to be call names constantly and ridiculed to the point where they want to kill themselves? It's distracting and the military is fucking perfect the way it is. My husband has no problem if someone is gay because he says gays have standards. You have no fucking clue as to what we all go through. If you are so damn worried about how military people think, meet them personally and shut the fuck up. Understand through the underdogs in rank how they perceive War and fighting next to someone who is homosexual. Don't bash them all by just what a high ranking officer thinks and says on behalf of all military. A single military man can kick your ass so watch what you say before one of them comes after you if you say the wrong thing.

    50. 50

Re: Tootsie – Shut the fuck up. I served in the Military and I have a significant other in as well. He asked if everyone was as closed minded as the men that are trying to keep this rule intact, he said nothing about everyone in the military being closed-minded. Fucking read, damnit.

You make yourself look like a fucking ignorant moron. I'm actually glad you won't be back on this site.

    51. 51

YES ON 8 YES ON 8 YES ON 8 YES ON 8 YES ON 8 YES ON 8 YES ON 8 YES ON 8 YES ON 8 YES ON 8 YES ON 8 YES ON 8 YES ON 8 YES ON 8 YES ON 8

    52. 52

To begin, those of you who disagree with allowing people to be themselves have your own issues. To be so ignorant as to believe that people cannot control their sexual urges and/or desires is beyond ridiculous. If we tear this issue down to the bare bones and compare having women and men both partaking in military lifestyles, versus allowing homosexuals to be themselves you would see that things aren't all that different. Aren't people in the military supposed to be the most disciplined, outgoing, and hardworking people? Why should anyone be repressed in today's world? Moreover, how long ago was it that African American's were being repressed and victimized in this country? If our country and military is so "pro" freedom, etc., I'm finding it difficult to correlate the "pro" attitude with our freedom and applaud towards oppression.

I applaud our military and thank them for all they have done and continue to do. However, if you're more concerned with someone's sexuality versus the MAJOR issues plaguing our country and the others around the globe…YOU have the PROBLEM. We are each different, get over yourselves….you're really NOT perfect.

    53. 53

      Re: lizzzz

In the words of Mark Twain….It is better to be silent and thought a fool than speak and remove all doubt.

    54. 54

Re: LaRaena – you are no fucking queen. you are an embarrasment to the Military. You SHUT THE FUCK UP.

    55. 55

      Re: STFUP

Even though, women get combat training and they do kill people as well. Are you fucking stupid? Nevermind, that was a stupid question on my part. Not every gay guy wants to fuck you, you fucking narcissist. Gay soldiers usually have respect for the guys they are serving with and if they know they are straight they don't try anything. Get over yourself.

    56. 56

Re: Lwillia5 – Actually, if you've read into how the military operates, it's very communist. In basic, everyone is the same, everyone has the same hair cut, everyone wears the same uniform. Going into the military isn't about being different. It's about conforming to the rules and being exactly like everyone else. Also, I don't think anyone's claiming to be perfect. I know I'm not perfect, but at least I don't throw a hissy fit every time something doesn't go my way.

    57. 57

you would be surprised, perez, i was in the military and there was gays all over the place. really, when you think about it, dont ask dont tell policy, is really about the fact that no one wants to or gives a crap if your gay or not, dont talk about it, its not important, whats important is serving our country, and the military doesnt want to openly allow gays in the military probably because of the over abundance of men and how prioritys will be all sorts of screwed up (more iterested in relationships than doing your job.) and i can say that confidently havinbg been in there, thats ever gay in the military, was obseesing over how they were gay and in the military. so maybe when gays quit making a big deal about their sexual preference in the military, cuz believe me they do, then maybe the military will stop caring also. really so souldnt say that its a close-minded thing when you havent been in the military yourself. thats ignorant, and judging your personailty through this website, how would you act in the militray??? sorry perez but getting a hair color change every 2 weeks isnt a priority when your in the gulf or in iraq.

    58. 58

Perez, I love you, but you're taking this too personally. It's not about politics or personal beliefs, it's about the best way to keep our military strong so that we, the American people, can sleep peacefully at night knowing we are safe from the enemy. My husband is a soldier and we've had this discussion before about how we can reconcile our personal Christian beliefs with our equally strong belief in equality and the military is one area we agree that a little perceived inequality is a small price to pay for national security. Think of it this way, if you think you're being mistreated now, how do you think you'd fare under a true Islamic Theocracy if our country were taken over? Trust me, none of us want that. It doesn't mean we don't love you.

    59. 59

Re: theacp – umm if the gay ban was lifted, why is our fucking nig prez trying to still fix it??? o thats why CUZ HES A FUCKIN IDIOT AND SO ARE YOU!

    60. 60

People need to be VERY careful with gay rights, because there was once a time when blacks or women had no say in anything and were considered second class citizens. I think every gay person in America should stop paying their taxes. If the government won't treat you like a first class citizen, then why should you pay taxes like one? Screw them! We need to love all of our brothers and sisters on this Earth because hate is what causes us to divide.

EVERYONE IS EQUAL, no matter status, money, religion, sexual preference, or anything else.

    61. 61

Yes Perez, you care because you plan to serve? I think not. This is just an opportunity for you to create an issue - "Oh, no its for the gay community", whatever you, sycophant. You have absolutely no clue about the logistics of this. And by the way, the byline reads RETIRED, not active duty, so swooping them into one category seems pretty convenient.

    62. babyg says – reply to this

      62

Seriously Perez ?!?! I mean the men and women of the US military fight for your right to say such close-minded things about them ! It's not right that they ban gays for service, but you should be more thankful for you FREEDOM !!!

    63. 63

Re: Tootsie – Thought you were leaving the site, dumbass.

That is my god given name you fucktard, so no, you shut the fuck up.

Embarrassment? I've done my duty and was discharged in high standards with my superiors. Haha, I don't see you getting off your fat ass to make a change in this country by helping out the people that protect you.

    64. 64

i actually like the whole don't ask don't tell thing, because 1! it's nobodies fucking business what your sexual orientation is. 2! if no one knows, no one gets uncomfortable.! 3! I know for a fact that there's plenty of gays and lesbians and bi that are in the military and are fine with not having to tell anyone. seriously what i don't get is why gays and lesbians want to go around announcing to the whole fucking world that they prefer the same sex. GOOD FOR YOU! most of the world doesn't fucking care. I also don't understand why your sexual orientation matters for being in the military, you're not there to have sex. you're there to defend your country!

    65. 65

Re: LaRaena – You are the fucking moron, you TWAT?! Soldier Girl was based on a true story. I was in the military before DADT. Yes, there were gays. Most people didn't care as long as they didn't hit on a straight person. Once that happened, people made their lives miserable. You were a Marine? You are a fucking disgrace! My husband is a Marine! So, yes, you dumb Bitch, you are not the only one here who has military ties. Trust me, the majority of the military members don't care if people are gay, however, keep it to yourself. If you join the miitary, which you claim you are a vet, you know the rules. You know what you have to conform to. The same things goes for married people in the military if they cheat, they risk all kinds of punishment. So don't fucking do it or don't get caught. Use your fucking GI bill to get a clue you dumb bitch!

    66. 66

      Re: rabidflee
Everyone doesn't have the same haircut, there is a length limit on the top and sides, there are guys with shaved heads, there are guys with fades, high and tights, etc. And no, it is so not equal. Until you hit E-5 you are basically shit on unless the NCO's like you (which fortunately for my husband, they did like him). They have to conform to the same rules that are basically laws or basics in any job. Respect the boss, if you don't you can get in trouble, don't do drugs, don't drink and drive, don't fight….not really that communist if that is what you want to call it. The only thing that I can think of that they punish that is not actually a "law" is infidelity.

    67. 67

Perez get over yourself. The world is not supposed to bow down and worship anyone who is gay.

My husband is in the Marine Corps and while he doesn't care about if someone is gay or not others really having strong feelings of hate. And I know for a fact as soon as they get rid of don't ask don't tell. Someone's going to get hazed or harassed for being gay and then all of y'all will have something else on your list to bitch about

your sexual status should not be apart of your job title. when you go to work you're a solider/sailor/marine whatever not a homosexual.

    68. 68

I think it's wrong to think of the military as a place of employment where everyone has the right to join and the right to continue their own lifestyle after joining. Those TV ads are correct–"it's not just a job."

    69. 69

      Re: mattressjock
Key word in that being "try", I don't think he could succeed in having consensual sex with a woman. I think the only time he has received any ass or vagina was when the other party was drunk or on some sort of date rape drug.

    70. 70

As the spouse of a military commander, I can tell you not all are on board with keeping the current policy. There are many gay and lesbian soldiers under his command - everyone knows about it and it isn't a problem. In fact, the straight soldiers are the ones that cause the problems.

    71. 71

hey, the last thing we need are a bunch of pillow biters joining and then painting their guns pink with Hello Kitty all over them. I can hear their high pitch screams now as they fire off a round with their eyes closed. I mean shit, unless the army is looking to start the Army Core of Uniform Designers. Other than that, keep gays out!

    72. 72

First of all people, Perez asked a question - he didn't make a statement. Expressing disgust at him isn't answering his question, it's supporting your own misinterpretation of a question posed.

Second of all, Perez, please understand that being in the military mixes people from all over the nation, multitudes of backgrounds, religious beliefs, ethics, families, and more in one small community. Don't ask, don't tell in all honesty helps protect gays/lesbians in the military. Because whether it's supported or not, you have racists and homophobes in the military just the same as everywhere else in the nation. Unfortunately, because of that small percentage of people, you have to adopt a wider policy to protect those that would be affected.

Of course there are gays/lesbians in the military. Of course, they've chosen to out themselves to the colleagues they feel they can trust to support them. If an NCO had the ability to ask in front of the entire company whether someone was a homosexual, he would be opening that person up for being prejudiced against, just like in the non-military world. How many gays choose not to be out at work because they know management might not support it? Why should gays in the military be put in the position of being forced out if they choose not to disclose their sexual preference?

      Re: LaRaena
Um, YES HE DID YOU BITCH,
dont fucking tell me what to do or say.

Not all military people are close minded. And just cuz you were "OMG - a SGT?" doesnt make you fucking GOD.

      GET A LIFE!

    74. 74

      Re: LaRaena

oh god get over yourself lol seriously you're getting THAT pissed off over something that's been debated millions of times? Get over it chick. No one's going to care about what you say more than anyone else responses so stop attacking ppl and practice that little thing that you SHOULD have learned about called freedom of speech

I swear every chick I've met that's in the Marine Corps thinks the world owes them something lmao

    75. 75

Re: Slutstick – Actually, infidelity is a law under the military justice system which trumps civilian law for soldiers in most instances.

    76. 76

      Re: LaRaena
People always say they are going to leave, but they ALWAYS end up coming back. Always. It is like crack, you don't know why but it is so damn addicting.

      Re: U_SUCK_DONKEY_DICKS – HAHAA

      OWNED

    78. 78

Sucks for you. Goes to show you cant "Ellen's very special message" your way into everything! They don't want you…. deal with it…. OR JOIN UP!!!!! End of the day you might scream as loud as a majority, but strictly numbers wise, you're a minority, even more so in the military (yes, sorry about that, despite all your wet dreams), and the majority of the military don't want you. Deal with it! They get their own way in there, you put your life on the line for your country and you get a new set of rules in return. PC dont mean jack!

    79. 79

If you don't like it, then don't join the military.

    80. 80

Not all people and please don't assume that! My husbands in the AF and he isn't like that and one of my best friends is also military and she's BI!

    81. 81

The problem with the current system is that if there are allegations along with proof of homosexuality brought to military leaders even though the soldier in question never said a word about their sexual preference at work, that soldier can be forced out. It's not always their own choice to make it an issue.

    82. 82

Re: BeNiceYall – Shut up slut. I never said I was God. Shouldn't you be in class or something? Fuck off.

    83. 83

Re: brandidid – The world owes me nothing. However, I wish people would have a little but more respect for those that are fighting for them.

    84. 84

fuck you perez. Not all people in the military are close minded and so what if they are. You should be happy that their dieing for pricks like you. Damn one person says one thing and you are going to insult the whole military. It makes me sick that my brother is risking his life everyday for fuck heads like you.

    85. 85

Re: Slutstick – I agree. If the economy continues to go down, I've contemplated re-enlisting.

    86. 86

Re: LaRaena – just because that is your "god given name" doesnt mean shit with me. Yes, I came back to this site, just to read the comments here, about this subject. Dont you dare try and judge me. I dont care if you were honorablly or dishonorablly discharged. You are a disgrace today. You, are an ignorant son of a bitch. I don't like the word HATE, but there is hatred in you and it's disgusting. Don't pretned to know me or what I do or don't do for this country. I volunteer with various organizations to help out our deployed troops and the men and women serving on the homefront. Don't you dare critisize me. You are an asshole.

    87. 87

      Re: LaRaena

totally. I get that. kind of like those people that protest soldiers funerals or ever worse the whole Code Pink shit.

    88. 88

Ok so I don't think that people should hate homosexuals. However, being homosexual is a sin. It's the same reason that Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed in the BIBLE. My husband is in the military. He's told me some stories about what has been done to some of the gay people who expressed an interest in someone who was straight, while they were naked and showering. It wasn't pretty. Having morale and unity, especially in a war situation, is the number one priority. If those things aren't present then the chances for any of our troops coming home, safe, sound, and alive decreases greatly. If it ain't broke don't fix it. It's protecting gay from being further hated and abused. keeping the ban is essential.

    89. 89

I don't agree with the lifestyle, but it's not for me to judge. I have been in the Marine Corps. and am currently in the Navy. I have met gay people while serving in both services, more while in the Navy. I really honestly think it would be a logistical and expensive nightmare. Instead of having barracks for men and women, you would have to add either buildings or sections for gay men and sections for gay women. Does anyone here remember when women were first allowed to serve aboard ships? Seperate berthings, heads (bathrooms), etc had to be created. Even though our ships are huge, space is very limited. I was on an aircraft carrier and I have no idea where we would add more space. I think there would also be a lot of problems with people getting caught having sex or doing other things. When women came aboard ships so did the amount of people going to Mast. No sex is allowed on ships. If you are gay and get caught, automatic discharge, with that being gone I think more people would risk it. I would fear for their safety if they were caught by the wrong people. Fall overboard at night and you might never be seen again.

Re: Tootsie – I'm not judging you but for someone that doesn't want to be judged, you sure are quick to judge others. I really don't give a damn what you think of me or how you could careless that it is my god given name. I know who am and what I have don't in this world and the differences that I have made. So, I could careless if you think of me as a disgrace. I don't hate. I can extremely dislike, but trust me I don't hate. Take your own advice, don't pretend to know me, what I do and don't do for this country, etc. I volunteer just like you do. Since I am no longer in active military, I do what I can for those families and soldiers that are. And again, for someone that doesn't want to be criticized, you sure are willing to criticize others. So I guess I'm not the only one on this blog that is an asshole.

    91. 91

      Re: Slutstick

lol I second that! my husband contract is up in june 2010 and he swears he's getting out because he doesn't want to get deployed again lol but I know he won't . the marine corps is the only life the he/I know how to live lol we're going to be lost for a short bit after he "gets" out

    92. 92

Re: brandidid – Yeah, those people make me sick. Its sad how little people respect the military now.

    93. 93

Perez why dont you go put your foot down and go join the military. You won't because its so easy for people like you to sit in your big houses behind your computer screen and insult the military. The last thing people should be worries about is gay rights. Apparently you dont realise theres 2 wars going on right now perez. Since you deleted my last comment because god forbid perez gets insulted on something that is the absolute truth, it makes me sick to think my brother and my friends have to risk dieing everyday just for people like you. Its so easy for you to forget that if it wasnt for the "close minded" people, youd be dead.

    94. 94

That's shitty Perez. Not all soldiers are like that and it's childish to bash all military.

    95. 95

Re: Tootsie – You have a lot of hatred for someone that you don't even know. I.e., me. Its sad and disgusting.

    96. 96

Oh boo hoo, Perez! You sit there all high and mighty talking about how open-minded you are when in reality you are assuming all of the men and women serving in the military are closed-minded. Do you not understand the irony of this post? Such a low-blow, Perez. Once all of these "equal rights" issues are sorted out are you going to get married, adopt a child, and join the military right away? I'm not seeing any of those happening.

    97. 97

Are we really expected to believe LaRaena was a sargeant when she can't even spell the word?

As a female who spent six years in the military, I can say that I'd never post "fuck you, fuck this, fuck that" on a board. You're just making yourself (and other military members) look ignorant.

    98. 98

I doubt a gay male would want to look at someone's ass that is stupid enough to bash gay people.

    99. 99

I'm all for equal rights, and I support gay marriage and everything else that comes along with it. But as a Marine wife, I can't see allowing open gays into the military a good thing. There are SOOOOO many homophobic military guys enlisted, that I believe allowing openly gay people into the service will drastically decrease our overall number of military members. Not good! I think allowing people of all sexual preferences will happen someday, but I just don't think we're ready for that yet; the backlash will be too great.

I have seen several lesbian military members out on our base…it is very obvious. I also know of a few that have "come out." They are still in the military.

    100. 100

Re: LaRaena – Ya know what. I talk to my husband every fucking day! Regardless of peace or freedom they are still fighting away from home. They have a mission and they are completing it, Afghanistan is still a freedom mission! If you were sooooo fucking good at your job and you were such a great soldier why are you spewing your hateful nonsense everywhere. There is one thing I would know for sure, you do not belong in a place where soldiers are held with honors. Being a soldier ( or vet) means that you do not hate on other people. I never said I did not agree with gays being in the army, how Perez handled himself was out of line. Maybe you should get some common sense and maybe some common decency to shut the fuck up where you aren't wanted.
