Melrose Place Can't Meet Locklear's Demands!
As we mentioned earlier this month, Heather Locklear is no longer in negotiations to join the new version of Melrose Place on The CW.
We guessed that Heather probably wanted too much money to reprise her role as Amanda Woodward.
Turns out…we were right!
According to new reports, Locklear was asking for too much money.
One insider revealed, "In these tough economic times, the network simply wouldn't - or couldn't - pay Heather the kind of money she thought she deserved. She wanted at least $100k per episode, which is what she could have commanded in pre-recession days, and the CW would only pay half that…or less."
Not to mention Heather isn't too happy that producers want to focus more on the new cast, which as you recall is set to include Ashlee Simpson, and less on her.
The source adds, "Heather probably wouldn't even have been a regular character on the new Melrose Place, but a recurring star. She was mainly going to be used to lure old fans to the new show. But Heather was looking for a meatier role and much more money."
If you can't pay up, then shut up!
But we're guessing Heather's right. A lot of people might not tune in if Amanda isn't back on the show.

I, for one, will NOT be watching the new Melrose Place if Heather is not part of the show and I'm pretty sure a lot of the old fans of the oringinal will not be as well. That's the only reaosn I tuned in for the new 90210. To see Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty. Let's HOPE MP gets much better writers and a better cast, with NO BORING CHARACTERS. I gave up on 90210 already.

how ironic that I'm listening to "Poker Face" now, lol. I didn't see the whole performance, but she did get a big pop from the audience at the end. I caught her trying to hit a high note though, and she failed. She's never gonna be a legend. She can't really sing, but her songs are audio crack

OK, so the market's changed. How was she to know?
