Madonna Adoption Request Rejected!!!!
That poor little baby!
Madonna's attempt to adopt a motherless little girl, living in an orphonage in Malawi, was shot down by a local judge on Friday.
"The decision came down to residency requirement and the fact that the judge believes she was being well taken care of in the orphanage," said Zione Ntaba, a spokeswoman for the Malawi Justice Department. "For the Malawians, the fact that the child is at an orphanage, is being taken care of and is going through the school education system, that does qualify as the best interests of a child."
You see, that's the problem!!!! If "residency" was an issue this time around, then they shouldn't have made an "exception" for Madonna when she adopted little David from Malawai without having residency!
It was not clear why Judge Esme Chombo ruled differently Friday. Another judge had handled Madonna's previous adoption case.
Plus, a baby would be better suited in an orphanage instead of at a loving home with a mother and siblings - and LOTS of money????
If she's so inclined, Madonna can appeal today's ruling to Malawi's Supreme Court.

Madonna isn't very steady right now because she's had so many strange men in and out of her life since she left her ex. Not right for her children to see. I'm sure they have looked at her personal life being so public and it doesn't look good.
The spokeslady on the tv explaining why Madonna had been rejected made some really valid points, it shouldn't be easy for any Tom, Dick or Madonna to go to that country and take their children away. If Madonna cares that much about it, why doesn't she sink some of her many millions into making Mercy's village safe.
Another thing that pisses me off if that Mercy is a "toy" name Madonna gave that child, you didn't hear the officials calling her by that name once in the statement.
I think the fact she's an aging divorcee doesn't help either. She should adopt a child from her own country IMO.

I think keeping the child in Malawi, is in the best interest of the child.
The child maybe an orphan, but she has family, a grandmother to care for her.
What a cruel thing to do, to take a child away from a grandmother, when she is all that is left of her deceased son or daughter.
If Madonna is so determined to give her adopted son a sibling, why can't she have one herself? I know she wanted one from the same country, but it looks like it's not going to happen.
We can't always get what we want, despite how rich and famous she is, I hope this is a reality check for her.
