George Harrison To Receive Star

We're surprised this hadn't happened sooner!
On April 14th, George Harrison will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The Beatles as a band have a star already, and John Lennon has his very own. And now Harrison, who died in 2001 of cancer, will have a star in front of the Capitol Records building.
His will be the 2,382nd on the Walk.
His widow, Olivia Harrison, and his son, Dhani, are expected to attend the unveiling.

Too bad George couldn't have been there to receive it. But he probably wouldn't have liked all the attention. Definately well deserved. A great guitarist and a great man. RIP George Harrison. You're already a star but now it's finalized.

We had lunch yesterday with someone closely connected to Perez Hilton who confirmed what we’ve suspected for a while now:
Perez no longer writes any of the content on the site.
The only things Perez Hilton actually contributes to his own website these days are the video blogs he puts up from time to time.
He’s got not one but THREE writers he’s hired (including a new one who loves to use the word “Fehk”) so he can go gallivanting around, propagating his own celebrity while his minions do the heavy lifting.

I like George, definitely the best mop top imo. But it's really a slap in the face to the individual members of the Beach Boys (ie Brian, Dennis, & Carl) that their friendly competition and lifelong rivals from across the pond are getting honored before them, on their own turf, and in front of their home label. I mean really, who put Californ-i-a on the map musically and pretty much defined America's visions and ideals of the Golden State? Especially LA County? Love George & he deserves it, but come on Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and show some love to your native sons. I wonder how much their musical influence has impacted the tourism numbers in Lala land over the last 40+ years?
