While O'Neal was preoccupied with skipping rehab and getting arrested, his mother actress Farrah Fawcett is still in "very bad shape" in a Los Angeles hospital due to her cancer taking a turn for the worse.

It is not easy to get off drugs, especially heroin. See again the Frank Sinatra movie "The Man With the Golden Arm", you'll realize that young man is to be pitied.
