Sydney's Back! Laura Leighton Returning To Melrose Place
Oh, hell yes!!!
Laura Leighton will be reprising her role of Sydney Andrews for the the CW's upcoming remake of Melrose Place!!!!
Although her character was presumed dead after Sydney was run over by a car on the original Melrose Place, Leighton is back - it's a miracle! - and she will play the landlord to the new residents of MP!
With the confirmation of Leighton's return, will any other former cast members make the move back to the Place???
We can only hope!

Seriously & honestly, how are they going to change MP history here? Sydney was killed on her wedding day to Craig. Craig was all hell bent on grief and shot himself in his car a month or so after the death. Unless it was staged, than why not bring Craig back too.

i didnt like the crazy bitch that she played on the first show…but i too hope that heather comes back if they expect this thing to go anywhere…it would be cool if jack wagner came back too, but he's still on the bold and the beautiful and i think that show is doing okay, so i dont know how he would feel about leaving a sure job for one thats not so sure. not to mention that he and heather broke up a couple months ago…but i dont know, it is hollywood and weirder things have happend

Sydney was one of the GREAT TV bad girls of all time. Laura still looks gorgeous.
She is marrid to Doug Savant who is now on Desperate Housewives and plays Felicity Hufman's husband. He too used to be on the show.

I always thought the reason why the former Melrose place was good was because (besides the crazies) they were in their late 20s/early 30s (I remember being mystified and intrigued by older ppl at the time). all the ppl in the new version are early 20's. being in the former age bracket now I'm not sure it's gonna be watchable. actually, it's gonna be sh*t.
