   I loove Adam Lambert to death… Bout time you gave him some props Perez…I haven't watched AI in years cause it sucked so bad…Still not as great as it used to be,but there's always a few talented people…and Adam along with Danny are my faves on the Show…Adam is magnificant and I love his voice a lot! loves the guy to death and thought this was his best performance thus far!

   Really ?! I love Adam and everything but this was not original!! The original song was sung my tears for fears, but there was a more recent remake done by Michael Andrews from the Donnie Darko soundtrack that sounds almost exactly like what Adam did. Granted I like Adams version better but he shouldn't get all the credit. Simon gave him that standing "O" because he is probably comparing what Adam did to the Tears for Fears version, not the Michael Andrews version.

    I got goosebumps watching him last night. He's the best Idol contestant ever. I think he will be the biggest star to come out of Idol.

    He hasn't given anything but flawless performances all year.

    for all of you who are bad mouthing this performance, you don't know shit…I don't care who sings the original (or even the remake of the original), when you have someone of Adam's caliber sing the song it's magic….one of the top 5 idol contestants ever without a doubt…may not win (because it becomes a popularity contest vs a singing contest sometimes), but he is by far the most marketable singer on there this year by a wide, wide margin…

    Yay, Perez!! Thanks so much for posting Adam!! I'm hoping you're a fan! Obviously there are a lot of us out there!! As a professional singer, I can tell everyone that textbook, he is an incredible singer. I could list the reasons why, but it's technical diatribe. As far as being an entertainer goes, he can draw you in like no other Idol contender. Simply amazing and completely versatile. Love his pre-Idol stuff, too - search youtube!!

    Adam is the best the show has ever had and he did this song brilliantly. It was edgy,haunting,beautiful,strong,artsy,so unlike the vegas acts most of the american idol contestants bring. The only other one thats a runner up is the red haired young girl. Also the lighting the mood ,it was very cool,not in your face wannabe,I like his style,he has one,and he looks great, Adam is the only one who deserves to win and will get a huge record deal.

    two, he has THE BEST male vocals I've ever heard in my life.
    He has AMAZING range, and his falsetto is extraordinary.

    Gary Jules thought Adam's performance was beautiful, google gary jules seacoastonline and see for yourself, something tells me he actually knows what hes talking about. Adam is HIS favorite contestant. some insecure people here trying to deny that Adam is incredibly talented, but that comes with the territory of being THAT good, sometimes can be polarizing. The amount of support for Adam speaks for itself anyway, hes the real deal.

    He has a lot to learn. His breathing is way too noisy, and the cracking of the voice at the beginning of some notes does not make him sound as emotional as he thinks. I never feel like I'm seeing anything special on American Idol. At least this song isn't some super-cheesy Christian-household-friendly annoyance like most of the music on Idol, though.
