Retired rapper and mogul Jay-Z is finding creative ways to make money!
Parlux Fragrances, Inc has teamed with Jay-Z's Iconic Fragrances to sign up some music names with their own perfume.
The latest two artists getting their own fragrances will be Rihanna and Kanye West. Basically, RiRi and Kanye will get their scents out, and Jay-Z will get a piece of every sale.
Smart! At least for Jay-Z.
Parlux's CEO said they are happy to be working with Jay-Z's Iconic, adding "We are extremely excited to begin work on our projects with Rihanna and Kanye West. Each is an extremely highly regarded celebrity at the top of his or her profession who is undoubtedly going to make an indelible impression in the fragrance industry, just as each has done in the entertainment world."
As for Jay-Z, he also commented, saying "We are excited for the opportunity to partner with Parlux and their management team in the launch of these dynamic new brands. This venture will take what is already a successful franchise at Parlux to a new level."
And Jay-Z isn't alone.
Paris Hilton has also worked with Parlux, as has Jessica Simpson.
But please, whatever happens, DON'T give Robert Pattinson a fragrance contract!

I wish they would stop making more fragrances. We don't need them. The school in my neighbourhood has become fragrance free. The smells are getting too strong for allergy sensitive kids. The teachers even wear unscented deodorant! Some stores you walk in to the smell is almost sicking.
P_Honey I agree…Perez is mentioning R-Pattz because he wants the hits. Most of his stories are crap and he is using R-Pattz to keep his site going!

Re: RobPnMeShouldB – Hey, I wear my perfume and I like it. BUT, If I had a kid (which there are alot of them), that got sick will all the strong smells, I would think twice. This school is considered a model school and has a waiting list to get kids into it! We have enough fragrances to choose from, we don't need another celeb. fragrance for them to get rich on.
Here's the thing about celebrity fragrances: they look cheap, and they smell cheap.
Re: momma of 5 – i had a wretch of a hag teacher that acted and i do mean acted like perfumes made her sick and would send kids to the clinic to get wiped of with alcohol pads before they could come into her class…the bitch was a total nut…so a few times kids would break bottles by her class door and she would hold class out side for a couple days…but what was really funny is, her shiteous smelling breath never bothered her…the paint on the walls with stood it, how i still dont know…but i wouldve rather sat and smell ass root than this bitches breath….what im trying to say is…some people need to get over themselves and realize that not all their whims can always be catered to.
i really like Britney Spears Fantasy perfume, it smells like cotton candy mmm one of my favourites! If Rihanna put out something like that I would definitely buy it!
Most fragrances smell like bug sprays, and you can smell the people who wear them about a mile away. TACKY TACKY TACKY!

These are kids (10 and under) though, and they don't need perfume.

I would NEVER wear a perfume WITH a celebrity name attached! Perfume is supposed to be personal! This is such a dumb idea………whats worse is that Kim Kardashian, who does absolutely NOTHING except get butt implants is now getting her own……It should be called ass-implants!
