Transgendered Mayor To Get TV Show
As we mentioned late last year, Stu Rasmussen became the first openly transgender mayor in the United States!
Rasmussen, the mayor of Silverton, Oregon, is a 60-year-old software engineer and also a business owner who says she has over 20 years of experience as an elected official.
But, now, Rasmussen might be adding reality TV star to her resume.
Production company RDF USA is in talks for a pilot about the challenges Rasmussen faces as a transgendered person and the ups and downs of working with small-town government.
According to RFD USA, they've already shot some footage in Silverton and are ready to review the clips with their development team.
So what does Stu think of this?
She says, "I think it will be an interesting project if it comes together, but I think we have to be on top of this to make sure that it shows Silverton in the best possible light."
Such a politician.
