It was only a matter of time until some major movie company made a flick about Barack Obama.
Hope! Change! And all that jazz!
Well, the time is now.Sony Pictures has acquired the rights to distribute the HBO documentary, By the People: The Election of Barack Obama.
Sony plans to add interviews with staffers along with commentary from campaign aides.
Steve Bersch, President of Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Group, says "This remarkable film gives us a unique behind-the-scenes look at a truly transformative event. The filmmakers have done a beautiful job of creating a compelling narrative, and we are proud to be able to make the film available to the global market."
The film will be released in theaters around the country by HBO Documentary Films.
It better not be a snoozefest!
