"If I need to apply for (the Women, Infants and Children program) to provide my babies with formula, then I'm going to," the mother of 14 informed reporters on Wednesday.
The Octo-Mom says one month of formula for the newborns runs her around $2,000 and to be ineligible for welfare, Suleman would have to make over $112,480 by the end of June.
Although the expenses for 14 children are understandably high, Suleman has been spotted recently indulging multiple shopping sprees at MAC Cosmetics and Toys 'R Us!
And Octo-Crazy has the audacity to complain about not having enough money for baby formula????

Speaking of, Suleman is attempting to care less about what we the public thinks of her shortcomings!

Women, infants and Children is WIC not Welfare. To qualify for WIC you have to make somehwere around $36k per year or less. Not the same as Welfare where you have to make almost nothing to qualify.

On the other hand, Nadya Suleman is earning a fortune. Every appearance, every time you see the face of any of her children, it is negotiated in cold, hard cash. I get the feeling that someone (like Dr Phil perhaps) has set up a nice little fund so the money goes into the fund and isn't necessarily hers on paper, so if it isn't hers that makes her eligible for every and any handout availble. I have no problem with those innocent children being fed, sheltered and clothed, but I would prefer they were loved and nurtured along with it. The only one getting loved and nurtured in this whole scenario is Nadya.

W.I.C is for working families. It's a supplemental program that helps women who are pregnant, nursing or have children under the age of 5. Wheteher it's welfare or not it helps out families that can't make ends meet. I think if you need it and are eligable for it then get it. This program gives vochers that provide milk, eggs, cheese, cereal, juice, peanut butter, beans, and tuna, carrots for nursing mothers. I work for the program and when you see woman come in with their Coach, Juicy, or Dooney and Burke bags and their nails done with highlights, chatting on their iphones, and blackberrys and name brand clothes like Ed Hardy, Bebe, Seven jeans, or Juicy I always wonder where they shop and if they ever thought that they're taking away from someone that really needs the program. These are the woman that think the goverment owes them. It's alittle sad when you see the woman in the corner of the office that doesn't speak english and is in raggity clothes that walked 3 miles or took the bus to get to the office. Since when is it low income to afford a $1,000 make up spree, $5.00 + coffee every day (I'm sorry, but coffee is an "extra" not a mandatory item) and dropping AIW for expensive nannies - that's not low income…that's low class! WIC is NOT welfare in anyway. You are given a voucher for very specific items. And, it applies to working people. If you meet the income requirments, you get it. I don't think welfare had any requirments except black, 7 kids from 7 different babby daddies, 3" finger nails and hair 2 feet high, preferably 4 different colors, none of which go together.

WIC and Welfare are two different things. Not even run by the same people. WIC only gives you tickets for food, you can get food and nothing but approved foods. So no junk like you can get on food stamps. Welfare money is money you can spend on whatever you want. WIC is for both lower and middle classes were Welfare of for those in lower classes. As much as I hate this woman and what she has done and continues to act, please get it right. Being on WIC is not something to be judged. They are an extra help in making sure your child is healthy and getting the proper care/nutrition they need. Probably 3x the number of parents are on wic than welfare…

WIC is a wonderful program. Please don't categorize it as welfare. It's a supplemental program that MOST pregnant mothers and mothers with new babies get. My husband makes VERY good money and we qualified for it when I was pregnant and after our baby was born. It's a program that is supported by the Department of Health. It isn't welfare.

WIC is not welfare, as MANY have said. It is a nutritional program for expectant mothers and children. It is to ensure they are receiving the proper nutrition during the pregnancy and to the children during their childhood. It is income based, but there are nutritional standards to what you can get with the checks, which lists the products you can purchase with them.
WIC IS NOT WELFARE! If I were here… I'd have gotten help from WIC a long time ago. They really do help with formula. It gets expensive when you have to buy it. For us "little people" who don't have tons… $14 a can is not cheap.
