Can putting people on a blacklist really work?
Turns out if you don't pay your taxes, the US government will out ya!
On Thursday, a report issued by the Franchise Tax Board listed the 250 worst tax debtors in California. And it seems there's a lot of people here that owe large amounts of money.
Two semi-well known names in the top 10 of the list include comedian Sinbad Adkins and singer Dionne Warwick, who haven't paid their taxes in forever ever.
In fact, together they owe almost $5 million that would go towards the Cali's huge budget deficit!
Sinbad currently owes $2.5 million while Warwick owes $2.2 million!
In order to remove their names from the public lists, those in debt need to pay up in full or even via an installment plan.
Warwick's rep claims the singer has been cooperating with the committee in order to pay her taxes. As for Sinbad, his rep declined to comment.
How in hell does an out of work comedian owe millions in taxes?

My 11 year old brother is shopping with my mother and he finds a wallet. He opens it to find money, credit cards, etc.. he also see's that it's Sinbad's by the ID. So he walks around the store looking for him. When he finds him, Sinbad snatches the wallet out of his and barely muttered a thank you if that.
That cheap ass bitch can rot in the clink for all I care.

I love Dionne Warwick, and Sinbad's OK too, but why is it ALWAYS the celebs most likely to support tax-and-spend Democratic candidates trying to avoid paying their fair share?
If you support the nanny state policies, at least be willing to pay your own unfair share.
I think everyone collectively knows that rich people often avoid paying their taxes. If they're not simply avoiding it outright then they manage to get their accountant to find "loopholes" that allow them to pay much less than they technically "owe". As "ordinary" taxpaying Americans, pretty much everyone I know dutifully pays Uncle Sam about fifty percent of their meager incomes without trying to get out of it. They pay their federal taxes and state taxes and then let the government tax their land and tax every purchase they make with what little money is leftover. Why should the rich get out of paying theit taxes when they, of all people, can afford it!! California, one of the largest states in our country, where the wealthiest people live, is broke?? Gee, I wonder why?? How many of the lower class pay their taxes and get nothing back? How many of the rich, with incomes mulitiple times that of the lower classes, don't pay theirs AT ALL? Will the politician have the nerve to tell those lower class folks that there's no money because "people on welfare" hogged it up? Don't make me fucking laugh. We know why there's no money.
How? MC Hammer style. Like MC Hammer, he probably spent every paycheck he ever recieved, instead of saving or investing. That shit adds up!

As far as I am informed, here in Switzerland everyone can go to the community government and see the list of the ones who didn't pay their taxes - in some villages/cities it is common to publish them.

Has anyone ever stopped to think why in the world the government is owed part of your income?…And also the fact that it is a VOLUNTARY tax and in the IRS tax code there is no listing of the liability to actually pay an income tax. That they garner your hard-earned wages through force and threat of force. That the FedRes can inflate your dollar and secretly tax you way more than the Gov would ever earn from actual income taxes…beside the fact that it is indirect violation of your 5th Amendment right to avoid self incrimination.
And in Sinbad's and rich peoples' defense, they are taxed at an extremely high rate than lower income individuals.
Sinbad is a comedian? He's never said anything remotely funny.
