Former American Idol Loser Gets Record Deal!

Yet another American Idol alum has nabbed a record deal!
Last year's third runner-up from the competition, Jason Castro, has signed on with Atlantic Records to release his debut album later this year!
Castro reached #1 on iTunes last spring with his rendition of Over The Rainbow after performing the tune on Idol's stage.
The album will feature tracks penned by current AI judge Kara DioGuardi and Grammy award-winning songwriter John Fields as well as a slew of other songwriting giants in the industry.
Congrats!

I loved this guy on the show, I would buy his album in a second. His voice was so unique and pure, luv him!
haha, maybe you should do your research because jason actually placed fourth on american idol last season. and i'm pretty sure his album won't bomb since he has many adoring fans, including me. he is my favourite american idol contestant ever, and sounds amazing. have you ever even listened to him sing? it's beautiful. i am 100% sure i will buy his album, and many others too. he writes his own music and lyrics, and has very interesting heart felt lyrics. i was literally screaming with joy when i heard the news of him getting signed. i am so ecstatic, and can not wait for this album! i think you should reconsider and listen to some of his stuff, it's breath taking.

It might not be for everyone, but I really enjoy Jason's style of music. I am really happy he got signed. I think it might be to his benefit that he didn't get a deal right out of AI. Could give him more cred in the long run.
