Britney Jean Spears gave a rousing hello to the crowd at her Northern California concert this weekend.

"Wassup Sacramento?," she asked.

One problem: she was far away - in San Jose - to be exact!

Geography is not one of Brit Brit's fortes. But we still love her anyways!

      you know, alot of times, singers, dancers, athletes, etc. pack up right after the show, game, etc. get on the tourbus, plane, whatever, travel at night, sleep all day, practice , hang out. They don't tour the city, shop, etc. they are there to work. they don't care where they are, they are working. I am willing to be they don't even leave the hotel area other than maybe to eat and go to the arena, stadium. I don't think it is a big deal that she got the place wrong. I am willing to be that almost everyone on tour has gotten it wrong at one time or another. she got california right and it started with an sss. Leave her alone, she is not highly educated

      I ve seen THAT happen to quite a few artists already in Germany…. I once accompanied a band on their tour and often couldn t tell IMMEDIATELY int he morning WHERE and in WHAT CITY I was! So it s entirely NORMAL (I m NOT doing nor haven t done any drugs at that time!*G*)

      Not that big a deal. The two cities aren't that far apart and people in the Bay Area drive all over and move from city to city. It's more about being from NorCal. Half the people there were probably from parts other than San Jose.

      A few years back at an Aerosmith concert in Kansas City, Steven Tyler came out and said "Hello New York City"! Um, OK. But yeah, apparently it's not all that uncommon.

He said "What's up Charlotte?" and then his excuse was "you people got me too drunk last night." If someone doesn't tell them where they are, they probably can't figure it out on their own. = )

      i was there 9th row and britney put on an AMAZING show. lip singing is nothing new in her world so i have no idea why you would complain about that. give her a break. i let the "wasssup sacramento" slide because britbrit was there right before last night, and after that she said "hey SAN JOSE" at least three times, she knows she f*cked up.

      No offense but, the whole perez opening made no sense. what does the queen have to do with the circus? And then it was a fuck you , when he shoots him. Nobody really gave a shit about the Sacramento thing, but the lipsyncing was a bit of a distraction. Otherwise an amazing show.

      She did end up correcting herself later, during the bollywood inspired "Me Against the Music" which spawned a renewed enthusiasm in the crowd. At least someone corrected her.
