Reports are trickling out that Bruce Springsteen really didn't cheat on his wife with that Ann Kelly woman.
Pals close to the rock legend believe Ann is obsessed with Bruce!
Is that the best spin Springsteen's camp could put on it???
"The wife pestered Bruce, but he didn't have an affair with her. He's freaked out that he was named in her divorce because he barely knows her," one of The Boss' friends tried to convince reporters.
"She seemed almost obsessed with Bruce… I think Bruce was scared of her."
So why would her Kelly's soon-to-be ex-husband bother mentioning Spingsteen's name in the divorce papers???
Said the source: "This is a classic case of someone taking advantage of Bruce just because he's famous."
Taking advantage of Bruce for what, exactly? Clue us in!
His friend continued: "When Bruce was a member at The Atlantis Club in Red Bank, this woman would manage to 'run into' him when he was working out and start chatting him up like they were old friends."
We might believe Springsteen's pals if The Boss wasn't a serial cheater!

If he was faithful, there are a thousand polite but firm ways to block people when you're famous. The last thing you would ever do is give a mild stalker any kind of long term encouragement, yet the two of them were supposedly seen all over town together according to blog peeps. He could have a super-stalker now that her marriage is done. Something doesn't sit right with any of this; the pieces don't fall together correctly. Sit quietly by the river while it all unravels.

Bruce is not a serial cheater. He and puss face had already decided to divorce when he started seeing Patti, and he hasn't cheated since he has been with her. I doubt Bruce is afraid of Anne though. I think he has a pretty good read on people and was probably nice to her. Why was he mentioned in the divorce? Money, kids, 15 min. of fame.
Hi Bruce Fans! If you recall, it was mentioned in the papers and then quited down shortly thereafter, that Bruce and Patti were having marital problems a few years ago. Perhaps Bruce was having an affair with this Ms. Atlantis Club obsessor and Patti found out??? It kind of does make sense. Patti probably forgave him and now his being named in the divorce suit reared its ugly head! All great marraiges have some philandering now and again. Hello, he is a musician, even though he is old!

He's cheated for years–check out Patti's album last year, Play it As it Lays, and listen to "Play Around." She wrote it for her dear, playing-around husband Bruce. BTW, great album.
