Kate Walsh's Ex Wants Her Money!

Kate Walsh is doing all she can to keep her greedy soon-to-be ex hubby, Alex Young, away from her hard-earned money.
The star of Private Practice filed legal documents on Monday at the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles in order to prevent her hubby from receiving alimony payments.
Walsh and Young got married back in September 2007, though they separated just a year later.
The documents filed also ask the court to give Walsh's legal team more time to further evaluate her property assests and fortune.
Let's hope Kate gets to keep her money. They were barely married!

even if he got alimony, how long could he receive it? he was married to her for one year. not almost 30 years like Robin Gibson. He never gave birth to chidlren, never moved to a different country/countries, stayed home to take care of the children he gave birth to-what the hell did he give up to marry her? how much did his life change and how acustomed to it did he become to it? Barely married is still married. Community Property in California is property obtained during the marriage. Unless she went out a bought a lot of property after she married him she should be ok with that. That's 50/50 if they can't agree and the court has to settle it. As for as alimony, that's determined on a case by case basis.

Perez… I love your site but you need to get your facts straight. Kate Walsh is no victim here. She is horribly abusive to everyone she works with. I've witnessed this behavior first hand! She has a major drinking problem that everyone around her is covering up. Ask yourself why a man would file for divorce after only 15 months of marriage. Kate Walsh has a serious drinking problem and it has ruined the many good relationships in her life. That's why she is photographed at AA meetings every weekend. The divorce wasn't about money. It was about Kate's refusal to get help.
This story is inaccurate. The reason for the divorce was Kate's very serious drinking problem.
Alex Young can get a job. If he needs money that badly he can get a second job.
Didn't they have a prenup? Maybe she should date someone for more than six months before marrying them. He's entitled to half of whatever she made during the time they were married. Considering the short duration of their marriage, that's probably not a whole lot. He does look like a douche for going after her money though.

stevecruz, Wow talk about slander. You need to get your facts straights. Kate Walsh attends Al Anon meetings not AA. Al Anon is for families of a alcholic. Learn the difference! Ruined relationships? LMAO. Kate is often pictured with her brother and friends. She is seen hanging out with her castmates as well.
This whole story is WRONG. Kate filed new papers to change the names on the divorce papers. Alex used initials and Kate used full names. They had to match so she changed the names. She also had to click the box for "no spousal support" for both.
If the media would do their homework, they would know that BOTH Alex and Kate terminated the spousal support in the very beginning. The media is blowing it out of proportion.

What a load of crap. No one here is going after anyone's money. Both terminated spousal support from the very beginning, him in his petition for dissolution of marriage (the papers are on TMZ) and her in her first response that was filed on Christmas Eve. This is just an amended response to change the names so that they match his petition. Now if you want a story let's talk about the contested date of separation instead.
pinkyfab - your attempts at damage control are a complete failure. It's not slander when it's true! And this is the absolute truth. No one is buying the al-anon story anymore. Kate has a very serious problem and you are enabling her. Kate is an alcoholic. She attends al-anon meetings so that she's not exposed as having a very serious drinking problem. Every time a story runs about Kate being at an AA meeting, you - whoever you are, runs around to all of these websites screaming, "it's al-anon not AA." Some of the places that Kate has been photographed leaving for her Sunday meetings don't even have al-anon meetings, only AA meetings. You and your lawyer's threatening letters are not working anymore. Please get Kate the help she needs.

Kate goes to Al Anon meetings and you can see the signs when she goes into the building. You can also check the meeting times and the times the pics were taken. She goes to Al Anon. Saying other wise you are slandering her name.
BTW you sound really stupid when you say she is going to AA but needs to get help. Uh hello if she is going to AA (which she is not it is Al Anon) then she is obviously getting help you moron.
