Angelina Jolie Announces That Her Next Movie Will Be...
Maleficent!
At least, we think it is! Almost positive, actually!
Angelina Jolie was at the Berlin International Film Festival today, where she is screening her directorial debut, In The Land Of Blood and Honey out of competition, when she announced that the long-rumored project was next up for her - even though she didn't specifically call it by name!
She explains:
"I haven't acted in two years, and I haven't done anything else since this . The next thing I am looking at is a Disney movie. The best thing to find that balance is to do something that is just for children. You know, you find different ways to make things matter. When, for example, you do fun action movies, they are empowering for my daughters."
And since we've gotten word that the Luc Besson movie she had been eyeing seems to have stalled, and Maleficent recently got Robert Stromberg as a director, we think it's safe to say that the Linda Woolverton-written adaptation of the classic fairy tale is definitely where we'll see her next!
So, so cool!

that's why the harry potter film was moved from november 2009, to what june or july 2010?!
they say it wasn't because of twilight YET twilight has a bigger fan base, and was being release less then a month later ! =)
i think they didn't want to compete with twilight YET their going to have to in the summer time.
new moon comes out june 10, 2009 i believe, and they can't push back harry potter anymore !
don't get me wrong i love the harry potter movies, but still id rather be a vamp ! =)

Re: muffin89 – HBP is coming out 7/15/09, it was not pushed back because of Twilight. They share many of the same fans, who would have seen both movies. HBP was pushed back because the WB needed a big summer movie for 2009.
I can't wait! I've been a HP fan since the first book and I always will be… even if my BF gives me shit for it. I have lost a little faith in the movies, though. Third and on were terri-bad. Still excited though. =]

much much better than twilight…THE MOVIE. I love twilight (books) too but I honestly think catherine hardwicke fucked the movie up BIG TIME.stephanie meyers has got to be more hands on like Jo Rowling, she never would have let a director effed up her story
