Seraphina is a very old name. It's from Hebrew meaning: burning ones or burning fire. It's the feminine form of the word Seraphim. The Seraphim are high ranking angels of God. Maybe she knew the meaning of the name or just liked the way it sounded. I'm thinking it's the former; How many people would automatically think of Seraphina when naming a child?
