Just once in my life I want to see Tool in the great outdoors. Best band in the history of ever. PERIOD.
would be worth goin' for snoop dogg & DeadMau5
Where is Miley CYrus !!!???
Lol
POOP!
Looks like a great line-up!
Pretty cool line up but I've gone to other lollapaloozas in the past and most of these acts sound better in a small club vs. a open air stadium-N*E*X*T!
Wow, worst lineup yet.
I can't believe Tool is one of the headliners….now I must go!! Tool really knows how to put on a show………..
DEPECHE MODE!!! AHHHHHHH!!!!
i would go if only 4 santogold…
santigold*
asher roth? really. kill us all now.
Re: fercho.a.m.. – You beat me to it. This is about the only place the whore will not be seen this summer.
NO ZZ Top??? No Ned Mandingo…. Sounds like a bunch of worthless crap bands if you ask me……
You did NOT spell it "Santigold." That's just tragic.
Dates? Locations?? Come on… what kind of gossip is this if you're not providing ALL the info!?
asher roth is wack as fuck!
*Sam Roberts*??? You fucking kidding? Why, was Nickleback busy?
Shitty lineup.
oh man that lineup is SICK. wish i lived in the us of a
what a complete bunch of shit…lol……you would have to pay me to sit through this bullshit
How could they put together such a line up of has-beens and not include Korn and Limp Bizkit? Rage against the machine, but buy your ticket from Tickemaster first.
and who the fk are these pep? sounds like a bunch of nobody's
Re: Kate – honey…lollapalooza is only in chicago, once a year every year…get with it.
WOAH. that's a fucking amazing band list.
i saw lolla on it's last us tour, wish they'd do that again. i love perry.
WTF I DIDN'T EVEN LOOK AT THE HEADLINERS HOLY SHIT.
Woah, brilliant line up. Can't wait to see Vampire Weekend again, and really want to chat with the Cage the Elephant guys again.
i am so excited that thenewno2 is gonna be at Lollapalooza!!!!
Re: smolls – Right on!
Love the headliners, supporting acts kinda suck.
I've only heard of like 5 of these bands… oh well…
Love Bon Iver.
Re: Shayla R Cakes –
I wish I could go back to '93 Lollapalooza…Tool and Alice In Chains. Tool is pure awesome.
I have to be there
Also, not all of the supporting acts "suck". They're just not mainstream bullshit. Like I said, Bon Iver is amazing and recorded his first album alone, in a cabin in Southeastern Wisconsin. I saw Ra Ra Riot and Cold War Kids the other night and they're definitely worth seeing. Peter Bjorn and John are great and I'm going to see their show tomorrow night. And how could you not enjoy the music of Rise Against, Andrew Bird and TV on the Radio. And Atmosphere, well they're amazing. These bands are not "nobodys". They just have decided to avoid the mainstream line. If you were looking forward to acts by Spears, Jay-z or stuff like that, this music festival will never be for you.
lineup suckssss! only show worh seeing is BASSNECAR
Not bad, not great…not as good as '05 was…now THAT was fun.
Asher Roth representin' Pennsylvania.
going to kick ass!!
I'm pissed. I've already seen over half of good bands, including all of the headliners. Plus, Depeche Mode (my favorite band) may not play a traditional gig ANYWHERE in the midwest. Meaning, if I want to keep my "seen every tour since 93" streak alive, I may have to fly.
Wow..that means they could not get any good bands again.
saw an animal collective "DJ set" in reykjavik. yawn…. and it seems they are just picking up loads of acts from previous years pitchfork festival!
Tool, Depeche Mode and Jane's Addiction……..can't get much better than that! I saw Tool at Lollapalooza back in 1993, they were amazing!
I HAAAAAAAVE TO GOOOOOOOOO! KINGS OF LEON, BATS FOR LASHES, DEERHUNTER, AND ANIMAL COLLECTIVE!! MY FOUR FAVS IN ONE PLACE!
BASSNECTAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just want to go to the DJ sets at "Perry's Place" to see Crookers and Deadmau5!!! Umm… where is Perry's place?
Re: Riverwest/Milwaukee – Um, fellow Chicagoan… I've been to every Lolla since it was a touring festival… I was certainly not hoping for Britney Spears or Jay-Z, although Kanye did put on a great show last year… I was hoping for supporting acts like Eagles of Death Metal/Queens of the Stone Age, Maybe Ladytron, Goldfrapp, MGMT (again), maybe Franz Ferdinand… I just think last year's supporting acts such as The Kills, The Ting Tings, the aforementioned MGMT, Brazilian Girls were more exciting.
who are these bands??? or right mainstream crap or wanna be mainstream crap
atmosphere and Bassnectar are off the chain thight
Isn't anyone excited to see Kings of Leon…I'm going to see them Saturday in Philly!!!
Re: Shayla R Cakes – I agree! Seen them twice, unfortunately Maynard has been busy with his side project Puscifer…
I do agree that the supporting band line-up does not have as much substance compared to past Lollapaloozas, but the 7 or 8 that they do have are amazing bands and therefore should not be discredited. I agree with you on this also; Eagles of Death Metal and Queens of the Stoneage would be kick ass shows. I do wish that they also had playing The Weakerthans, Iron and Wine and The Hold Steady. Those three are amazing bands/artists.
As a die hard Tool fan I will say that they are SHIT outside…they shine in an indoor venue!! Looks Ok though at least Jane's Addiction is gonna be there…after all Perry Farrell invited the thing.
I've never heard of any of these guys. Except Asher Roth, who I hate and think is over rated.
better than coachella!
What, no MGMT? that sucks
LOVE CAGE THE ELEPHANT!!! They're awesome!!!
AMAZING lineup!
i'd fly out there just for TOOL
aww Animal Collective AND Vampire Weekend. If only i didn't live in Australia haha
It looks so GOOD!
I so wish I still lived in Chicago
alkjfa;;;RaRaRiot!
omgosh! i wanna see KoL! eeek! arctic monkeys! depeche mode! the killers! and Of montreal! ^_^ yay!
Lou Reed?!? im all in
great line up!!!
Fuck, I love Ra Ra Riot, The Gaslight Anthem, and Santogold, but almost nothing else.
