I say if gay people want to get married, they have the right to be just as miserable as the rest of us. But that leaves the question, why would anyone want to get married?
I just wonder why gay and lesbian couples want to be "married"? I think you should be able to get all the same rights and advantages as any other couple. You should get the same tax and health care benefits as any other "married" couple, but why do you have to be "married" when that is a biblical principle designed in the bible. That is the disconnect for me. I think you should be able to declare your relationship and be recognized by the state for that relationship. It is the separation between state and government, but marriage is a biblical union. I am very confused about that. Civil unions for benefits and recognition by state seems totally fair and just for any American citizen. My question is why Gay and Lesbian couples want to be "married" when that is a biblical principal that you do not believe in? I think every American has a choice of religion , sexual preference and political party but i think some things are biblical and religious and should stay that way. Marriage is a union between a man and a women.

The problem with gay people is that they don't just want equal rights, they want superior rights compared to everyone else. Take SB777 signed by Arnold in California which takes away free speech rights from our school children.
