      Why should anyone be mad that she was open and honest about her opinion? She didn't say anything nasty or degrading about homosexuals, she merely stood for what she believed, just like homosexuals stand for what they believe. Is it freedom of speech or just freedom to speak what is socially popular or accepted at the time? I am thankful Martin Luther King junior stood up against what was socially acceptable at the time, and for that many other great leaders in history stood up against the grain. Everyone is entitled to their belief as long as it doesn't harm another person. If anyone is to know you can have a strong opinion on a matter it would be you Perez, you are the king of opinions, and you have become famous for it. What are you whining about? While I don't agree with her comments, I commend her for standing up for what she believes in. She was honest, which is what Miss USA should show. You asked her a question, she answered. Just as you have a right to believe in gay marriage, she has a right to believe in marriage between a man and a woman.

      In every interview that I have seen of her, she has composed herself in a respectful manner. She hasn't, on any occasion, tried to offend or belittle you. Can you say the same? You call her a b****, and c***….and I think that is totally out of line. She is right, everyone is entitled to their own opinions. My opinion is that people have a RIGHT to gay marriage. But I am also glad that she was honest.

      I think you should stop bashing her, and I also think that you owe her an apology. From what I can tell, people have been more sympathetic to her. If you keep going on with this, you will end up alienating people. Seriously….wow. I can't believe how childish this has turned out.

      I have watched both the clip from the the contest and her follow up interview. I'm glad to see her stick to her opinion and not cower to todays political censorship.

      First and foremost your question was a loaded question, and not fair to her or the pageant for that matter.

      Secondly by you giving her a lower score just because her opinion and stand on gay marriages is different from yours, was completely bias and against the moral integrity of judges, you asked a question where you wanted to see her morals and when her morals showed to differ from yours you penalized her for it and eventually cost her the crown. that makes you a hypocrite, you let your morals and beliefs influence your judgment.

      Who are you to ask such a question on national TV? you do nothing but belittle, badger, and make childish changes to pictures to try to humiliate famous people. If anything you are the one that has been offensive. Its people like you that make people hold back and not be truthful in her answers or comments, so that later when the truth comes out you can hold it against hem.

      Our country was built on the freedom of speech and beliefs.

      It was not necessary to call her a b or a c just because she spoke her opinion.
      But, as a country and state fighting for equality, she was not the best candidate to choose for Miss California. She could have carried herself better when answering the question and, as a Christian, been more respectful. Jesus did not teach us to look down upon other people for homosexuality, nor did he say that it was absurd.
