Mike Tyson Offers His Opinion On Chris Brown
An expert on violence, Mike Tyson decided to offer up his opinion regarding the Chris Brown/Rihanna situation, almost excusing Beat Her Down's behavior with his immaturity.
Should he have spoken, you know, a month or two ago?
In a new interview, Tyson says, "It's none of my business, but you know what I say about that? I understand the situation. I understand passion with young kids," adding that "He's [Brown] just a little baby that don't know how to handle his emotions when it comes to a woman."
But of course, he also said, "Do I think it's right to beat up a woman? No — hell no. Have I hit a woman before? Hell yeah. Was I wrong? Hell yeah. I'm a product of that environment. Do I regret ever doing that? Hell yeah. Would I do it again? Never."
Sounds like Tyson is still a baby too.

Well atleast he manned up and admitted that he was once a douchebag as well (if she still isn't). I still don't understand why people are scared of a 5'something guy who is maybe a buck fifty. Mike Tyson sounds like someone who's experienced being unable or unwilling to control his emotion and can look at it from a perspective most of us cannot. Since he hasn't been jailed for beating any woman in years, is it too far fetched to assume the man has found recovery? These are the best people to school the current knuckleheads, they've been there. He's owned his mistakes and not justifying Chris's mistakes, just offering some perspective.

I actually think he speaks some wise words here, Perez.
I know your goal is to be controversial, but sometimes you have to look at the socio-politico-economic factors that shape these young men (and women)'s outlooks on life… They're important in understanding and trying to fix these situations. Otherwise we're gonna be stuck in this cycle of beatings, punishment (jail time/ whatever) without real changes… So kudos to Mike for being honest about this, if not the most articulate.
Perez, I disagree…I think Mike sounds like he's matured and actually regrets his past behavior.
Don't see the controversy. He says Brown made a mistake. He says the mistake is wrong. He says he understands why he made the mistake, because he's a product of the same environment, and he made the same mistake. He said his mistake was wrong and he wouldn't/shouldn't ever do it again.
So at the end of it all, he comes out against domestic violence. Next.
