      This is your quote and I agree with it, but, why should your opinion and my rights, privileges and protections, get in my way??? I also say, Hell no!!!

      I just wanted to tell you that, you hating people because they don't think that gay marriage is appropriate is just as bad as people hating you because you do think it is appropriate.

      Calling people B words, C words, whatever, only proves how these groups act. You want the rest of the world to agree with it, but where does our opinion, rights, privileges and protections come in? No one can tell you what to believe in, and no one, especially a guy whose last web site was pagesixsixsix.com, can tell me what to believe in. I think your problem is that you don't know what you believe in, you are just getting your name out there for your profession and the media's attention and it is very sad. Sad that we are supposed to drop very, very deep beliefs so you can have your media circus….

This is CRAZY CRAZY stuff going on, and as a gay man I completely sympathize with our side. It IS about equality, it IS about the fact that regardless of what these straight men and women say it still shines a negative light on ourselves and the lifestyles we live. Regardless if you ask a child at the age of six by law whether he will be with a man or woman, it is implied by society that it is taboo to be gay, that doors are shut on you, that your life won't hold as much meaning. In recent light the suicides of innocent children not even age 13 is terrible! This was going to be the end of my comment, but I glanced down and saw the first comment from Major Dude. Someone who took the time to come to YOUR website, that you blog on…and took the time to enter an email (or make one up) and to come on here and attack you with written word about your continued idiocy and how he can only sympathize with the aspect of not being able to visit your spouse in the hospital…hey Major Dude…check this out and this is for the rest of you too…Go fuck yourselves.       …make sure you write your congressman and or woman if you're so concerned. However, be careful, I say that 97% of the House of Representatives is straight…better be careful you don't catch that 3% of gay/lesbian/bi-sexual representatives…I can't even type anymore on this… its so frustrating to still see gays in the limelight in such a negative way. Shameful to be an American at this point, but I look forward to the future with enthusiasm and hope.

      I am absolutley in shock first of all that they would use someone as obviously ignorant at that man Perez was debating (Dennis), to be the voice for the anti gay marriage side. Perez would talk about equality and Dennis answered him by talking about something totally unrelated like the fact that eharmony was forced to include gay people as well. Who fuckin cares about eharmony.. thats not the issue Dennis!!! EQUALITY is the issue you brainiac! Perez is standing up for the fact that gay men and women should be able to get married through the state, not churches or anything religious. The definition of marriage is just that…. a definition… that someone made up sometime ago and as everything else in this world should progress and with progression comes change. Without change we could not progress as people. We could not become more intelligent and empower ourselves as human beings. That idiot, Dennis, was saying in response to Perez that black people and white people were found to be the same, so are friggin gay people and straight people. That idiot is talking about gaycouples having children but a gay couple can adopt a child. That has nothing to do with gaymarriage.

      What the HELL is this man talking about?? Men and Women are not all that different. I’ve meet women with NO motherly instinct to nurture at ALL. Being a woman doesn’t automatically make some one a wonderful mother that can give some special love that only she can give. What kind of message does that send single fathers out there? And the same goes for dads; my dad has been MIA all my life. My mother raised me on her own. Does that mean that I can in no way be just as much of a wonderful person since I didn't have father in my life? I don’t think so, but I can say that not getting a change to see two people who love each other working together as team to raise their children that they love, making a promise and a commitment to each other so strong they can chose to have its licence by the state if they like has been a lose.

      You on the other hand made perfect sense :) The Supreme Court long ago held that "separate but equal" was unconstitutional…I don't get how it's not as simple as that! Unless you call it marriage, it will not be equal…

      I agree with both… gays should have the same rights in a civil union as straight's in a marriage, but then again Perez kinda makes a point in that its less of a union, but if the rights are recognixzed and they are seen as legally bonded and able to adopt, visit their partner in a hospital, be n the insurance, etc… then they should be happy.

      However I do not oppose gay marriage, but little steps are needed and that would start with legalizing commitment ceremonies and unions, so they get the same rights as married people, then eventually they may allow marriage between gays legal (but it probably wont happen within a few years)

      Everyone deserves happiness, which includes the conservatives. If they are uncomfortable as of right now, hold off for full on marriage until they become more open (if that ever happens, conservatives are so close minded sometimes)

      Comment 1: The comment about a mother being able to give a child something that two men can't is irrelevant. The purpose of marriage is NOT to have children. Perhaps there is maybe more stability in the relationship but many straight married couples either choose not to get married or are not biologically capable of bearing children. Are we to deny these people the right to be married? And what about married gay couples who choose not to have children, how is that any different from a straight married couple?Furthermore, just because a child has a mother and father is not an automatic guarantee that their life will be any more stable or enriched because of the gender of their parents. Plenty of hetero mothers and fathers suck as parents. But no one seems to question that when they are getting married.

      Comment 2: The Girl Guide/Boy Scout question was ridiculous. Girl Guides and Boy Scouts are clubs for kids, there are no legal or civil benefits attached to being a GG or BS (last time I checked). What the hell does this have to do with marriage? No one denies that there are biological differences between men and women. The question is whether or not the fact that there is a difference should be the deciding factor in marriage.

      You did a great job! You kept your point simple. EQUALITY for all men, women, gay, straight, black, white, purple…. the point is.. we are all human and we all deserve equal rights including the right to marriage.

      Also, there is no evidence that children growing up with homosexual parents grow up to be maladapted humans. Love is all a child wants…. who cares what happens behind closed doors. Two men can provide just as much love to a child as a man and a woman could.

      Prager made fantastic points and I now feel even better equipped to state my beliefs with conviction. Perez lost all credibility for every word he said after "men and women are the same." He is a moron. Prager was also correct in the tiny percentage of this country that is truly gay. The media distorts the truth to make it seem like one in 3 people are when the true numbers are truly miniscule but extremely vocal. Thanks for posting yet another video where you come out the loser Perez-this is fun!

      i don't agree with his claim that there are things one gender can provide a child that the other can't. there are just as many differences between people of the same sex as between men and women in general. my own mother was emotionally sterile. i sure didn't get any nurturing from her in the "psychological health" department. of my parents, my father was the more sensitive. i do not doubt that if he had been a gay man who raised me with some other guy, i would have turned out the same. women are not caring by default. personalities vary widely. the same holds for males. there are reckless fathers, aloof fathers, and on the other hand, fathers who dote on children. fathers vary in approachability. if dennis argues that a boy raised by 2 women would miss out on things only a man can teach him, well, a lot of boys who DO have fathers miss out on those things all the same, simply because they have the type of fathers who want very little involvement in their sons' lives, or fathers who are not particularly communicative. you can't assign a contribution to upbringing to one particular parent by virtue of gender. you are right, perez. different body parts are insubstantial grounds for deciding who should be allowed to raise children.

      I noticed 3 things in this video: #1 being, Perez, u look so much more attractive without the orange hair and crazy outfits, great makeover #2 he called u 'Paris' at least 4X & that was annoying #3 today's government is still filled with old society thinking, people who see marriage as "traditional" between man/woman… they will retire eventually and the younger generation will get things rolling and then we will see true equality 4 all.
