I say equal rights for. think about all of those messed up families who have a mother and a father. It would be a blessing to have two wonderful parents who truly care.

That's great and all, but bear in mind that people have been trying to take away the rights of others for ages. Look at Hitler. All those Nazis sure thought they were 100 percent right. And slavery. Read some Frederick Douglass… those who were the most outspoken about their faith beat their slaves the hardest and had the least regard for their fellow human beings. This won't even be an issue 50 years from now. And for you people who rail against homosexuals… you apparently AREN'T gay, so HOW do you have any credibility to speak on the matter? You're entitled to your opinion, but your views will be thought of as backwards when all is said and done and in the history books.

I don't understand why it's such a big deal in the U.S. It's legal here in CANADA, and noone really talks about it, unless there's a big gay celebrity wedding going on. Isn't it legal in the U.K. as well?
It was one thing to fight for equal rights in the first place. It was another to give them the rights, then take them away in an instant. You HAVE to understand why gay, lesbians, and anyone for same-sex marriages would be upset. I am, and I'm straight.

Let me summarize your post, because underneath the anger is a valid point:-

Attention seeking gossip queens that live up to many of the negative stereotypes of a gay man don't further the cause of gay rights by acting like a prissy queen over the views of a teenager on a show that stereotypes the role of women in society in an manner thats as equally degrading to womens rights.

Of course I think little benefit in pointing this out to PH because I really think gay rights come a distant second to aggrandizing his own celebrity status and personal wealth.

I think it's totally unfair that people aren't able to marry the person they love. But it sucks that it's such a big deal these days. Gay or not gay.. I'm raised with the idea that being gay is ok, but you're not allowed to live on with that thought. What I mean is that you're not allowed to marry someone with the same sex. I hate that thought, ’cause you'll never be able to live your life to the fullest, ’cause you're not with the one you want to spend your life with. On the other hand, I must say there are A LOT of gay people in the world in this time. And I find that strange, ’cause sometimes I'm even afraid I'll never be able to marry a guy, ’cause all guys are suddenly gay. It's seems like a hype to me. That you're cool when you're gay. Or that you have to be gay when you're in fashion. That's ridiculous. Teenagers are being yelled at with the word 'gay', which makes them think they really are! And that's a bad thing. I think we shouldn't talk about it that much, and just live life how you want it, and with who you want it. The films about 'a storm is coming' are so lame. Come on, get a life, and go do something useful. Nobody wants to see some message with what you think is right. Just be gay, or don't be. And that's it! Stop all the drama around it.

I can't believe people don't understand it. In the Netherlands, its okay, we have gay bars, gay marriage, and gays are allowed to adopt. Why don't people understand that gays deserve to get married just as much as heteosexuals?! Why isn't love enough to get married? And who cares, if you therefore have to call eachother wife or husband, it's not about names, its about equal rights and love. Sorry USA, but you seriously need to GROW UP and stop acting like a whining baby. Marriage is for everyone!
