"The March of Dimes
Our mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. We carry out this mission through research, community services, education and advocacy to save babies' lives. March of Dimes researchers, volunteers, educators, outreach workers and advocates work together to give all babies a fighting chance against the threats to their health: prematurity, birth defects, low birthweight."

Please donate today! If you still need a reason why you should donate - a real life example - go to remembermaddie.com Madeline Alice Spohr was born at 29 weeks. This brave, strong, and happy child lost her battle on April 7, 2009. So far, over $57,000 has been raised in her name. There is a link on her parents blog directly to her March of Dimes page. Prepared to be touched by her inspiring story. Remember Maddie!
Defintely a great charity! A group of friends and I will be participating in the March for Babies Walk down in Miami tomorrow morning and are still welcoming any donations…$5 is enough!

Thank you!!!
Thank you Perez for promoting the March for Dimes. My son was born 11 weeks early and spent 70 days in the hospital. He is almost a year old and this sunday we are walking in honor of him. I hope others will donate to this great cause!
my step-daughter has CP (cerebral palsy). She has been through so much in her little life, with many trips to the NICU. She is 3 1/2 now and is coming along well. Please help donate to this cause. We will be walking on May16,2009 in San Antonio, TX in her honor as well as other babies and families that have been stricken with such health threats.

My nephew was born at 30 weeks and spent 4 months in the ”nicu”. He's almost 3 now and we are so blessed. This is awesome!! We are walking tomorrow for him and others just like him. Thanks and bring on the money!!
Yay!!!! Thank you for promoting this great cause! We are walking on Sunday! We know first hand what the March of Dimes does…all our kids were born early…but it wasn't until our twins were born at just 23 weeks gestation…a whopping 17 weeks early! Sadly one of our sons passed after a 2 day fight, but our surviving twin is here and we love him and thank God for him every day! To understand what having a premature baby is like please check out The Tomecko Echo. Thank you again Perez!!!
Donating to any charity is great, every little bit helps. You also might want to check out kiva, you sponser people start up or expent there business with small loans all over the world, they pay you back and you can invest in another person. Help people help themselves.
I LOVE the MoD, it is a fantastic charity. I donate to them religiously.
I absolutely LOVE the march of dimes. I donate to them religiously!
I work at Kmart and we are raising money for March of Dimes right now. It is one of two charities we do each year. The other is St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
I am walking tomorrow! I was able to talk my mom and aunt into walking as well.
My sister was born with a heart defect and died within 2 months - so I am walking in her memory!
As mom to child who entered this world at 1 lb., 7 oz. and benefited from the March of Dimes, thanks to all who support this most worthwhile cause!
i don't understand the walking part…
you donate for the babies.
you walk for what?
Thanks so much for posting this worthwhile cause. My triplet daughters were born 31 weeks too soon and if it had not been for the work of MOD, my girls would not be here today. You can check out their story at www.guinnfamilyhome.com
Perhaps Perez is unaware of their horrible (and unnecessary) animal tests they do, which involve sewing shut newborn kittens' eyes, among other cruel practices. Even Kmart has refused to support them anymore.
