      I was so excited for the first one and it beyond royally sucked. What an offense to such a classic movie that didn't even try in the first place and soared into movie legend glory. Anyway, the trailer on this one sucked and even if Rob wanted to recreate in his own vision, what a lowly loser-too much violence without sense and emotion. I am a diehard Halloween fan and horror flick follower since childhood. Oh well…for the new generation of senseless losers.

      Great, so Rob Zombie has turned Mike into super human schizophrenic (I am assuming psycho fairie lady represents 'the voices' in his head) I agree with others. John Carpenter's Halloween was so scary because there was no justification, no rhyme, no reason, no treatment, no prevention HE just WAS and that was more f*cked up than Rob could ever hope to be. What John Carpenter mastered with playing with the psychology of the viewer, Rob is trying to make up for with gore and giving Michael a psychological background. LAME.

He has never praised any sequels or remakes! And Rob Zombie is making a cult classic into a new cult classic that fits with the times!       I feel like Rob may have rushed this one. The first one was awesome but this one looks rushed. It's almost like he's trying to be very unoriginal. The main plot is him and her being holed up in a hospital - which means not very interesting. And of course the flashbacks and the new boy don't look near as kick ass as the other kid. I guess we'll have to see come Aug!!

      No, I don't think it's going to be good at all. If he wants to show us his refreshing perspective on things, he should keep making original movies. I saw his first remake of Halloween and it was absolutely terrible. He is turning Michael Myers into a completely different thing. If you can at all tolerate the fact that in his first movie he laid the grounds for Michael's motives and now plans to completely expose his motives in this new one, you do not appreciate the original movie at all. Michael did NOT have motives. You cannot give motives to a motive-less monster and expect it to be at all reminiscent of the original monster. He could have done all of this with a whole new killer and possibly have created his own horror icon. But to take an icon that already exists and destroy the very thing that made him so TERRIFYING to begin with…well, that's unforgivable. And all of you that think this movie is going to be good are demonstrating your lack total lack of understanding. And God forbid any of you are seeing these remakes without having seen the original.

      God you guys, it's not supposed to be attached to the original series at all. Do you remember where that went? They knocked Michael's niece up with his kid and then just killed her and sent him after Laurie like nothing happened, then they killed her too.

      His take has been interesting if you can get your head out of John Carpenter's ass. And Scout is pretty damn awesome in his films as Laurie. She's not supposed to be Jamie Lee Curtis. She's Scout Taylor Compton.

      For one, I am not a "Twilight" fan. All due respects to it's fans, but not my thing and I have not even seen the movie yet.

      Two…"House of 1,000 Corpses" was just an ok film. I was a tad disappointed in it. The only remotely good thing in it was Captain Spaulding he was f*cking hilarious and the reference to Ed Gein. Other then that eh…

      "The Devil's Rejects" was a much better film then "House." I actually did enjoy that one from Rob.

      The Halloween remake..I'm sorry..just sucked a**. I was really disapointed in it. The original is far better which is usually the case with remakes. I did like how they went into Michaels mind as a child more so though in the remake, other then that..just no.

      I am a big time horror fan and have been for years. I like Rob's music, but his movies are usually hit or miss and this new Halloween just looks like sh*t like the first one he did. I could be mistaken though, I will say that, but from what I've seen I doubt it.

      Halloween is my favorite movie franchise (movie at all) out there. I love the originals and Rob's because they were similar but so different you really couldnt compare them. I think Rob will do this (explaining Michael) better than the 6th one did (The Curse of Michael Myers)

      at least it cant be as bad as Halloween Resurrection (what were they thinking having some of the actors they did in that movie)

      First, I'm a HUGE horror movie buff — there are few other movies I watch, unless it looks like a good comedy. I love the Halloween series; they're classic slasher flicks and it's survived such a long time. Personally, I didn't enjoy Rob's first Halloween remake. I felt it lacked suspense, as have his other films. It's just a bunch of jump-scare sequences — loud noises with something popping out — as opposed to building any real suspense. This doesn't look any better. It looks like he took a bit of "Psycho" (which already had one horrid remake) and just threw it on in there. I'll go see it, as a horror movie buff and occasional movie reviewer for the local paper, but I don't have high expectations for it what-so-ever. His stories tend to be a little flakey, chopped up, and they don't flow very well. I wish he'd just stick to directing music videos, I find he's much better at it. I will, however, enjoy the senseless gore (can't beat that).

      Mind you, I didn't like the Friday the 13th remake either (Jason taking captives, REALLY?). There are a lot of remakes coming up this year — Children Of The Corn will be released on Sci-Fi sometime this fall, and the cast looks great, The Last House On The Left was also a great remake, but Wes helped with it, so…. Nightmare On Elm Street remake next year (terrified for it, they're filming right now in Chicago!).

      I am a true Halloween buff and Rob Zombie definitely accomplished a very good remake of the original. I love the fact that he ellaborated so much on Michael himself. I feel like I got to understand the character a lot more. The upcoming remake of Halloween 2 however, poses a bit of concern to me. It looks like he might be trying a bit too hard this time round, I mean the original still gives me goose bumps, I hope he can live up to it
