      I used to live in Schertz where the two cases are. There is a third confirmed case of the flu, and though I do not live there anymore, I am afraid to go to my church over in Schertz because the swine flu is in that area. I live in San Antonio, and this is scary.

Perhaps they don't have test results on the rest and can't really report them as statistics. But come on, what are the odds?       81 related deceases but only 20 CONFIRMED.

      Whether this is the big one or not, it's just a question of when. The problem NOW, unlike 1918, is that we have a ton more people and people live in close contact; it could spread like wildfire.

      Yes, we have vaccines, but viruses always morph their genetic codes. The flu shots you get are the best guesses of what they think will happen… And in case you think they have a vaccine for this, you are nuts. They need to GROW THE VACCINE. They do this in eggs. It is not a fast process. My best guess is that they could get a vaccine out in 6-8 mos. You think that will help you?

      If a major outbreak occurs, quarantine yourself. Masks make me laugh because viruses easily pass through the ones I see. You need to get the ones that are fine enough to trap viruses. Washing hands helps with contact issues, but not airborne issues.

      You will be responsible for protecting yourself. Remember Katrina? The gubmint is not able to rescue you if this happens…..take care of yourselves.

They have always lied to us because they don't want us to panic, anything good that happens in Mexico they make a big deal about it, but anything bad they try to hide it. Everyone in my country agrees to this. This morning they said in the radio that there is a possible case of Swine flu here in Jalisco where I live, and that there are other various patients with similar symptoms. Nevertheless they are still continuing normal school on Monday and soccer games. In my school we will be having a national exam called ENLACE which has been canceled in Mexico City but not here. We will all be cramped up in the auditorium taking the test for more than 4 hours; I seriously can't believe they are going through with this. The Swine Flue is a health emergency which should be taken seriously and I believe we have to take extreme measures in the whole country and especially states close to Mexico City.
