After a painfully long absence - over two years! - The Gossip is back and ready to conquer the world with their upcoming album.
Lead singer Beth Ditto may be a media darling, but she's all about the music - first and foremost. Her voice is raw and powerful on the band's new single, Heavy Cross.
The song is quintessential The Gossip. It's got a killer bass riff, simple instrumentation, garage-sounding but with a danceable beat.

they were doing this song two years ago live so it's nothing new. they cleaned it up, sped it up, and made it radio worthy. regardless it's an amazing song that showcases their talent. hearing beth sing it live will make you hear the difference though. she has so much more emotion than in this version.
Beth Ditto and The Gossip will save the music industry! With all the throw-away pop and artists these days, The Gossip is a slap in the face freshness that the music industry needs. Their last album killed it and I am stoked about the new music. She's real, she's original and no one can touch her talent… not even Gaga!
