Government Is On Alert! The Killer Virus Is On The Attack In The U.S.

The U.S. government declared on Sunday a public health emergency to deal with the outbreak of the swine flu in America.
Officials reported 20 U.S. cases of swine flu in five states so far, with the latest in Ohio and New York.
The new flu strain has already killed as many as 81 people in Mexico.
Much like the government does to prepare for approaching hurricanes, the federal emergency plan calls for several steps, including moving a flu drug stockpile to areas where it can be used quickly if needed.
Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napilotano says roughly 12 million doses of the drug Tamiflu are being released from a federal stockpile so that states can get it if needed.

This is scary for me as a rancher from Texas! There has never been a pig disease before that humans got![besides the old days of Trichinosis etc.] that was non contagious The Pigs anatomy is the closest to a human than any other animal.This or others could wipe out the human race as we know it!!So we all need to be concerned and put pressure on our governments to NOT cut costs in the Agricultural sector.Thanks from big Hoss!!

i hope everyone knows that cows are naturally supposed to eat grass, but in order to save money, farmers feed them corn, which tears their digestive systems apart. in order to keep cows alive long enough to make it to slaughter, farmers give them all sorts of antibiotics and hormones. the medicine fucks with the meat, the cows are killed and then exposed to radiation in order to kill the hormones (because if we took those hormones, it would kill us). oh, and the cows who don't make it are ground up and fed back to the other cows. the same goes for pigs raised for slaughter.

Okay, so it's a new strain of flu virus. It's not the end of the world, remember SARS, remember bird flu? They said the same thing, that everyone was going to die, everyone started wearing masks and making contingency plans. And then the panic just went away because nothing ever came of it. OMG SO SCARY!!! A group of 7 of us went on a business trip last week to Mexico City. We came back late last nite to the DC area. So now I am freaking out because I don't know if I have this damn flu or horrible allergies because I can't stop sneezing and I feel warm! I think I will go to work tomorrow and hopefully they will send us to get checked out as a precaution
They've already said the cases in the US were some college students who were in Cancun for Spring Break- and they are already getting better.
Leave it to the journalists to start some freaking mass hysteria.
And of course there are so many cases in Mexico- its not very sanitary over there.
