Government Is On Alert! The Killer Virus Is On The Attack In The U.S.

The U.S. government declared on Sunday a public health emergency to deal with the outbreak of the swine flu in America.
Officials reported 20 U.S. cases of swine flu in five states so far, with the latest in Ohio and New York.
The new flu strain has already killed as many as 81 people in Mexico.
Much like the government does to prepare for approaching hurricanes, the federal emergency plan calls for several steps, including moving a flu drug stockpile to areas where it can be used quickly if needed.
Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napilotano says roughly 12 million doses of the drug Tamiflu are being released from a federal stockpile so that states can get it if needed.

I'm a Registered Nurse and the one and only time I took a flu shot I got sicker than I've ever been. I have never been injected with a flu vaccine since then and I never will. I have been very healthy since stopping the vaccines. I have not called off sick from work for 2 years now. (I took that flu vaccine about 8 years ago).

There is a better way to report news. Professionally is one way. Especially when it comes to epidemics/pandemics. People are really easily swayed and usually believe anything that they believe and thats fine but no need to FREAK everyone out and make everyone go overboard with fear. The fact that everyone is so on top of it already is a really good thing. They already know what it is and what it is related to. Mexico/Pork. So as long as we stay and informed and are careful that should really lower the risk of people coming into contact with it and passing it on. Everyone just needs to do their part and remember that there is a dangerous virus out there right now. We can only do as much as we can do, so with that, everyone needs to stay aware.

Wow # 57, that was informative. No really, I didn't know that there was that much involved in the slaughter and sale of cows/meat. I knew that there was hormones and other stuff but I didn't know what the process was and why. That is really bad. Especially when you think about the reasoning behind all of the tampering and what farmers do or are doing in order to cut costs and to up the amount of meat that they are producing. I would rather not eat as much meat and have a limited amount of beef that we can purchase and know that it is being done right/healthy than the way it is being done now. I know that there are places that you can get way better quality meat and it just costs more but usually unless you buy it yourself at a place that promotes healthy beef then you are going to get the run of the mill crap. Americans are such pigs that we are always MASS producing everything which end up creating problems like this and we are not able to blame anyone but our greedy ass selves. It sux that so many things in our market are made this way. It just seems like the goodness is being taken out of everything anymore.

Practically all countries are on alert for this: US, Canada, Taiwan, Japan, China, etc.
The cases in the US are mild, whereas the cases in Mexico are severe. Most likely becuase our bodies have a better chance of fighting the virus off because, compared to those who had it in Mexico, we're in far better living conditions.

Someone sneezes, does the normal nasty thing and passes their hands across their nose, mouth, etc. They do not wash their hands. They meet up with someone. That is one of the reasons why it is spreading among young people(the other scientists think is that we do not have any immunity against the virus). So, if you feel sick, as in have a high fever, stay home, make a DR. appt. When you meet up with people, skip the kissykissy, if you shake hands, grab hands, wash, wash, wash. bring this bottles of saniwash with you. AND the cases in New york-they are already feeling better. Global pandemics occur every 10-15 years due to major antigenic changes in the virus and are independent of season.
Considering we're over-due, this whole thing is sort of expected.
