The ratings are in and Barbara Streisand's much-promoted, much-anticipated, and most likely expensive concert special bombed Saturday night.

The special aired to a dismal 4.9 million viewers.

      Let's put this into perspective shall we? CBS scheduled this special for a Saturday night. Saturday night is the graveyard shift in today's TV market. I seriously doubt CBS would have scheduled this special for Saturday if they sunk a large amount of money into it. I'm sure they are more than pleased that they got over 4 million people viewing.

      Almost 5 million viewers on a SATURDAY night is a huge success. Bravo wonderful Barbra. She is the greatest and I entirely agree with ALL her political views and opinions. No middle of the road for Barbra, she is a courageous woman. Thank you for giving us so many magnificent memories.
