Basically he believes in civil unions with FULL and EQUAL RIGHTS which is basically gay marriage. He also called the passing of Prop 8 un American. Do some research buddy.

Maybe you should be disgusted with heterosexual's abusing the right to marry, your high divorce rate, marriages out of wedlock, hish rate of different types of abuse in marriages, the fact that people who believe as you do are so behind the times it isn't even funny, and most people who make the most noise about being anti-gay tend to be gay themselves. Just because people are idiots and give up to soon on their marriage nowadays, DOES NOT mean you give gays the right to marry. Then you'd have to give dogs the right to marry.

Oh, and the high divorce rate for straight couples may not have anything directly to do with why gays should be allowed to marry but it does crumble all you gay bashers excuse that marriage is a religious tradition and that the sanctity of such needs to be protected. Seriously? 50% of the who couples marry these days don't take it seriously at all. And as for "tradition", marriage has changed so much over the centuries. If you want to talk about "traditional" marriage than maybe we should go back to having the entire wedding party go up to the honeymoon sweet to ensure that the marriage is in fact consummated! That's the holy thing to do right?! Keep it traditional. And while the groom is ripping off his arranged brides dress everyone can catch a piece for "good luck". Because that's the way it was done, not the garter toss that we have today. Damn that garter toss thing is blasphemy! Let's go back to the old ways where are parents money decides who we marry! Re: sticky_and_sweet – What makes no sense is the notion that a court of 3 to 9 people has broad discretion to do whatever it deems necessary to "protect minorities". No, that's not the way it works. Courts get to evaluate a statute against the Constitution, and determine if it is constitutional or unconstitutional. For a court to say that traditional marriage is unconstitutional is patently ridiculous.
