Jewelers Demand $1 Mil In Jewels From RiRi!

If the jewelry Rihanna was wearing the night of the famed incident with Chris Brown is not needed as evidence, girl needs that bling back from the District Attorney - and pronto!

Four different jewelers are asking for the return of almost $1,000,000 in jewelry that was borrowed by Rihanna the night of Clive Davis' Pre-Grammy Party, the same night that the singer was allegedly physically abused by Beat Her Down.

LAPD is currently holding the borrowed earrings and rings because they're "not even sure what evidence is going to be entered into the case" against Chris Brown.

The only problem??

The jewelers are asking for $1.4 mil in late fees and damages from Rihanna if the jewels are not returned!!!

Said RiRi's lawyer Donald Etra in a letter to the court, "Since there appears to be no evidentiary value to the continued holding of this jewelry… we respectfully [ask] the court to order the return of this property to [Rihanna] without further delay."

"If the DA doesn't need the items, and the LAPD doesn't need the items, there's no reason why they shouldn't be returned," Etra has told reporters.

You'd think the jewelers would be a little more understanding????

why lend them to the rich?

  2. 2

Oh dear, give the poor girl a break, the jewelers have no sensitivity at all. Morons!!!

  3. 3

why being understanding? i want my stuff back now!

  4. 4

They should Bill Chris Brown. He's the one who caused the incident that ended up with the Jewels being held.

  5. 5

and we are demanding something of interest on your fucking site, your point?

  6. 6

    Holy crap!
You'd think the Jewelers would understand!

the jewelers waiting to ask this long is understanding enough. yea it sucks what happened but they have to look out for their buisness. 1.4 million is a lot of money.

  10. 10

    WOW! They Charge Late Fees?
Fvck! It's Better To Buy Than To Rent!
    Buy Your Jewleries!!!

  11. 11

Be more understanding? That's a million dollars in jewels that they're not making money on. I don't blame them.

  12. 12

How insensitive- the jewlers should give her a break—or the LAPD should be paying-up. If she doesn't have the jewels, what's the girl supposed to do?

  13. 13

this is OLD perez, like one week old.

  14. 14

this is hilarious news, its like a debt collector leaving notes at the door of someone being held hostage overseas, like the machinery of America is brilliant

  15. 15

OMG! i hate her NOW! if she keeps going out with chris he IS GONNA HIT HER AGAIN!

  16. Borah says – reply to this

I think thay have been understanding enough. That's a lot of money.

  17. 17

Perez, why should the jewelers be more understanding?! They are a business, and the loss of their goods valued at over a million dollars costs them DAILY. Not only are they paying insurance premiums on them, but under the circumstances, such insurance could be in jeopardy. Besides, if they hadn't asked for them back, it appears Rihanna and her lawyer wouldn't have bothered to ask for them. She took the risk of borrowing an obsene amount. If it were cash, would you be so quick to tell them to understand?! Besides, if Rihanna is forced to pay for late fees (which everyone who borrows jewelry agrees to!), she can sue Chris for the money. But, oh wait - she's rather spineless in that regard, right? So, we should give her a break?? I don't think so. If she won't make HIM pay, she should!!

  18. 18

funny how after all of the storm with her and that muppet lookin' boyfriend of hers the main thing we've come to realize has nothing to do with domestic abuse and everything to do with just how classless and ghetto this bimbo really is

  19. 19

oh wait - "ghetto" and "classless" are , in essence, the same thing

  20. 20

wat do they need the jewels for evidence for? Are the pictures of her beaten face not enough???

  21. 21

No they shouldn't understand. It's their mILLION dollars.

  22. 22

I don't understand the need to borrow all of this expensive jewelry if she can afford it. I guess they aren't as rich as we all think. The jewelers know the dealio, it's not like she is holding the bling for herself, it's apart of a crimimal case!

  23. 23

Ha ha ha this is jokes them jewelers saw a chance to make money and took it, i would do the same thing if i was them…. she should just buy her own damn shit alie

  24. 24

getting jewellry back from a r n b singer is lioke trying to take cake away from a fat person

  25. 25

Stuff has a way of disappearing…I'd want it back too! But they shouldn't give preferential treatment to her….if they wouldn't release evidence, or possible evidence, for regular people before a trial is finished, why shoudl this woman be any different? SHE SHOULDN"T!!!!

  26. 26

They need to be more understanding… good God she was beat down for Christ sake

  27. 27

BLAH BLAH BLAH! Get a nose job girl! You look like a tranny! She can afford to pay it back…..

  28. 28

  29. 29

The jewelers are just trying to get their stuff back. By putting pressure on Rihanna, Rihanna's lawyer can put pressure on the LAPD and hopefully get their jewelry back. Rihanna has an obligation and her violent relationship with a complete idiot is no reason to deny these people a right to $1,000,000 worth of material. This is a business.

  30. 30

Uhm, they have been understanding. Let someone take $1Mil of your stuff and then don't ask for it back.

  31. 31

the people at LAPD proberly gave it to there wives lol…..no but seriously if that was my 1 million I would not be "understanding" to someone who has millions and is off partying and on holidays every week….fuck her shes a loser hopefully she'll go bankrupt and go away forever so we never have to listen to her TERRIBLE voice again

  32. 32

Damn she's a homely one. I'd rather do Rumer Willis….. On second thought I wouldn't do either of them… Why can't others get on board and stop supporting Perez and his love for this one…

  33. mben says – reply to this

Of Course not… It's an opportunity to make money!! No one cares about your personal problems or that the LAPD has your things.

  34. 34

it's unreal the advantages people take when it comes to the almighty dollar. There has got to be something written to say that the jewelry co can't chage interest and crap when the evidence is being held in an ongoing investigation. Tell the damned jeweler to keep they're pants on for heaven's sake.
Re: DoctorPS – you suck badly

  35. 35

ahahah shame "RIRI"…Go Chris Brown..Go Chris Brown

  36. 36

she should bill chris. had he not…she wouldnt have…and they wouldnt be….

  37. 37

They just want the jewelry back to sell it at an inflated price because of its history or to display it in the store to bring in customers.

  38. 38

No, she appears to be doing fine, she borrowed them, make sure they get back. she probably has not replied or answered them

  39. 39

i wudve gone to the DA myself and got my jules and if he/she didnt have them then we wudda spent the day together till he gave them to me…seems stalkerish but hey they shudnt have them to begin with.

  40. 40

Re: Janeyfyi – Honey, now you're just aggravating people, are you that stupid?

  41. 41

What do you wanna bet that the LAPD has 'lost' them? lol! There is ZERO reason for them to take these items from her in the first place!

  42. 42

You WOULD think they'd be more understand….it's not like she's keeping the jewelery.

  43. 43

    Er no,
Just becuase she's a celeb doen't mean she doesn't get the same treatment.
Women get slapped around on a reg basis, you don't see people laying out petals for them to walk on.
    Responsibilities people!
