Prince Charles Pens Environmental Book & Film Deal
Could Prince Charles be the next Al Gore???
The Prince is currently working on both a book and film about the environment entitled Harmony, similar to Gore's An Inconvenient Truth.
With Harmony, Prince Charles, alongside co-writer Tony Juniper stress the idea that we should be aware of the major role we play in nature and the environment!
"If we could rediscover that sense of harmony; that sense of being a part of, rather than apart from nature, we would perhaps be less likely to see the world as some sort of gigantic production system, capable of ever-increasing outputs for our benefit - at no cost," Prince Charles stated on Monday.
The Prince continued: "I believe that true sustainability depends fundamentally upon us shifting our perception and widening our focus, so that we understand, again, that we have a sacred duty of stewardship of the natural order of things."

Publishing house HarperCollins will be releasing Harmony in 2010 which will be a controversial look at the looming hazard of large corporations' negative effects on the environment as well as Prince Charles' fight against genetically modified crops.

Let's consider for a moment just how large his carbon footprint is.
He flies on private jets, all around the world and on any pretext. He lives in mansions, castles and palaces, all of which require massive amounts of oil or gas to heat them. He has staffs who cater to his every whim, He drives gas guzzling autos, and if I'm not mistaken, he doesn't wear the same clothes twice.
Yet, this man presumes to lecture us, the commoners, on how to make a better environmental impact??

Then they will fly on to Venice and Berlin, before returning to Britain. Clarence House aides stress that the trip is at the request of the Government to promote its climate change policies. But instead of using scheduled flights, the Royal party has hired a private plane, thought to be an Airbus A319. According to experts from the Carbon Managers company, which carries out environmental audits, the aircraft’s four European flights over 2,200 miles will leave a carbon footprint of 52.95 tons - nearly five times the average person’s 11-ton footprint for an entire year.
Each member of Charles’s party will leave a carbon footprint of 4.41 tons - 13 times more than if they had used a scheduled flight on the same type of plane, which can carry up to 156 passengers.

He is actually quite an authority on the subject. Whether he will ever be King is questionable, so its good that this work has kept him busy. It would seem that if he truly had wanted to be environmentally sensitive though he could have recycled Camilla to produce heirs instead of using virgin material.
