The swine flu has to go and ruin everything, now doesn't it???
Wednesday's Mexico City premiere of X-Men Origins: Wolverine has been postponed due to the deadly virus!
"We were not only concerned about Hugh's welfare - and we would never send anyone into harm's way - but we also have an enormous office filled with people we care about. There was no point in proceeding under the current conditions," said studio reps for Twentieth Century Fox.
Mexican government officials have instructed the population to remain indoors and not to venture out into public venues, including movie theaters.
There are talks of rescheduling the premiere once the virus subsides because of Hugh Jackman's large fan base in Mexico, but nothing has been set in stone.

Well, with 90 people reported dead in Mexico of swine flu, it's not a very good idea for hundreds of people to be crammed into crowded movie theater sitting next to each other and sneezing and breathing on each other. Swine flu is AIRBORNE.

It only seems to be a deadly virus in Mexico. In the states, it's a mild flu. Swine flu is nothing new, it was around in the mid 70's. There is a vaccination for it.

Re: Ultraworld – well actually, its not deadly here in mexico, its totally curable, you just need to go to the doctor and take specific medicine, government has a lot of that medicine, so its supposed to be under control. clases have been cancelled just to avoid passing it on.
