Coming To Twilight?

GI-Joe hottie Channing Tatum could potentially be starring in third flick of the Twilight franchise!
The third movie, Eclipse, is currently in the process of being scripted. And Melissa Rosenberg, the screenwriter for Twilight, New Moon, and currently Eclipse, says she has the hottie in mind to play the role of Riley.
During a new interview, Rosenberg said “There’s a very big battle at the end with Riley, and I think Channing would do that so well. There are some complexities to that character. He really is tragic. He’s a puppet for [vampire] Victoria. So he has to break your heart a little bit at the end when he realizes that she doesn’t want him. Channing could do that beautifully.”
And for you Robert Pattinson fans, don't worry about the fact that his character Edward Cullen doesn't show up much in the second novel. Rosenberg confirmed he'll definitly be seen often in New Moon.
She says, “In the book, he’s actually an enormous presence in [Bella’s] mind. He’s so present in her mind throughout the entire center of the book, so we really played off that, and it kept him alive in a slightly different way, but fans will feel it’s true to the book. You can’t have a Twilight without Rob Pattinson.”

i have yet to read the third book but he seems like he could play a character you can feel for. i think that would be interesting, but does channing want to deal with the deafening little girl screams and drama that seems to come along with being in the twilight movie series???

If he actually agrees to do the part Twilight will have the sexiest male cast IN HISTORY!!!!!!!! I'll admit that I can't see Channing as Riley at all, but who knows? HOWEVER, I don't think Channing is Riley material. He's not really that good of an actor and Riley, I believe, is supposed to be younger…like 16?

Ok, I'm REALLY not getting how Channing would be a good Riley.. I mean, he's GORGEOUS and all, but I just don't see him as Riley. All I can say is Melissa Rosenberg better not fuck this up like she did w/Twilight. That was probably one of the WORST MOVIES EVER!!! I am a HUGE fan of the series, in fact it's pathetically unhealthy, and I love the actors, but it was soooo nowhere NEAR the book. I get that things need to be left out and cut, but that was just RIDICULOUS!!!! It sounded like she took a bunch of the most popular lines from the book and just threw them in there! and adding unnecessary characters and situations, OME just STOP!!! I'm sayin, let the fans write the script and pick the cast and we'll all go home happy.

1. Totally disagree… New Moon was MUCH worse than Breaking Dawn. I actually liked Eclipse alot.
2. Ummm… I vote NO to Channing… he's too buff and too old to play Riley. In my mind, I had someone more along the lines of a younger, teen-type. Something along the lines of Erik from Gossip Girl.
