Oops! And The Idol Frontrunners Are…

A glitch on iTunes might have revealed who's winning the American Idol race - at least in terms of popularity!
After each episode of AI, the contestants' songs are placed for sale on iTunes, but the sales figures for each finalist is never revealed. Idol execs don't want people knowing ahead of the finale who's got the popular vote.
And, for weeks people have been thinking the final two might come down to Adam Lambert and Danny Gokey. But, if iTunes is any indicator of the popular vote, looks like contestant Kris Allen might make it to the final two instead next month.
A glitch last week in Apple's software allowed users to see which contestants were selling the most downloads of their "live" performances each week.
And it's no surprise, the leader - by far - was Lambert who holds 6 of the top 10 chart spots this season. And his cover of Mad World has become the No. 1 selling song this year!
Instead of Gokey coming in second, Kris Allen is actually in the second spot with three performances on the top 10. As for Gokey, he's got just 1 on the chart.
Is it safe to call it now? Adam Lambert seems to have the first place spot on American Idol in his pocket!

Gokey is just Taylor hicks 2.0. Take away the grey hair, add in some glasses and tone down the goofy personality a bit.

i like adam on american idol but i don't see myself ever buying his albums or downloading his music. what he does with his voice is insane, yes, but i don't get why he's so popular. personally, my faves are kris and matt. they have that real musician thing going on. i wish kris would win. i like his style and his voice and i love his originality. he reminds me of the likes of jason mraz.

Gokey has always been overrated — and he comes off as so smug. Not to mention using his sad backstory so heavily. That's annoying.

1) Lambert rules. Totally marketable, surprising and fun to watch. 2) Ktris gets the cutie award, but Allison is better and far more soulful.
THis year is almost as fun to watch as the Jordin, Lakeisha, Doolittle era. Matt sucks, is uglyetc. I hated those f—ing hats when Frank wore them and TImberlake is a douche. Why emulate him? Gokey is gkeeky and boring.
Megan ranks as one of the the most beautiful women I have everf seen a la Grace Kelly. But the Princess of Monaco had class and a tattoo like that is uber-trashy. Kara is hot; I hot they keep her. This year the competiotion was "dope"!

well, after american votes on april 29, adam came in fourth even if the great performance the day before. i guess he wont be the next am idol anymore, since the rumor of being gay and all the pix on the internet, i guess american doesnt want gay idol. that's shameful , adam is very talented and great singer way much better than danny or kris who just happen to have good vocal but no talent and " STRAIGHT"
