William Shatner Feels Left Out

startrekcapt__opt1.jpg

William Shatner is mad, and that's because he's been left out of the latest installment of the Star Trek saga.

Yes, he's STILL mad!

The bitter Bettie is now saying, "How could you not put one of the founding figures into a movie that was being resurrected? That doesn't make good business sense. I've become even more popular than when I was playing Captain Kirk. I'm good box office - and I get good publicity."

It's not like they didn't ask him! Shatner turned down an appearance in the new film because the part wasn't large enough!

And then Shatner declined a meet and greet with hottie Chris Pine, who plays the famed Captain Kirk in the prequel.

As a result, Pine has reached out to Shatner, but we don't know if the original Kirk has reached back!

You're shit stirring again, Mario. Nothing here but crapola. No real story

    2. 2

shatner rocks more as denny crane anyway

    3. 3

      KHAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    4. 4

I wonder if Shatner would have lent his hair piece to the movie so it could double as a "Tribble"

    5. 5

why would the aged version of captain kirk appear in a movie about the young captain kirk? that makes zero sense!

    6. 6

      Um, he is left out.

    7. 7

The only thing William Shatner is reaching for is another drink!

      LOL! I kid! I kid!

    8. 8

what a diva, and I don't mean that in a "you're fabulous" kind of way…I mean it in the "you ungrateful over-rated puffed up advert actor" kind of way. They OFFERED you a role.

    9. 9

Shatner should make his own Star Trek movie ,{only do it in esperanto!}.

Re: Janeyfyi – We all asked politely…call Oprah

    11. 11

      Better luck next time Bill!!!

You had a good run though.

I loved you in Columbo too.

    12. 12

It doesnt make sense to have one of the founding figures and not the other. He is damn near 80 and this opportunity may not be available later. Oh well, while the preview looks good, it looks like they're ruined the franchise as far as fans of the original series and the next generation go.

    13. 13

IF HE IS SOOO MUCH MORE POPULAR NOW, THEN WHY IS HE STRESSIN IT SO MUCH…."SHAT THE HELL UP!"

    14. 14

      I need a drink!!!!!!!!!

    15. 15

      he deserves a bigger part

    16. 16

I'D BE PISSED OFF TOO…ILUV HIM

Re: UrMajestyMsG – Yer on top….hey Hottie..What up???

    18. 18

Why would he be in the movie anyway? The movie is about the crew when they were young just out of the academy, not old farts that don't know when to retire. They wrote in a "flashback" scene where shatner starts thinking about when he was young, and that wasn't enough for him. Too bad…it's not all about Shatner all the time.

      h o m o …………..

    20. 20

What does he want for this movie? Kirk and Spock to slingshot the Enterprise around the sun so that they can go back in time to give their younger selves info on how to say or change things so that the future flows better for him?? Give me a break! "OK young Kirk, remember, whenever you meet a man or crewman named Khan to kill the bastard!"

    21. 21

The man has a huge ego and is a douche.

    22. 22

He's always been such a douche to the entire original cast members, especially George Takei, that he gets what he deserves.
Go take a vacation on an island far away Mr. Priceline Negotiator.

Re: Long Dong Connery – USUALLY AM…LOL…WORKING HARD OR HARDLY WORKING SIR…LOL

    24. 24

They're both invited to TREKFEST, June 26&27, in Riverside, Iowa… Captain James T. Kirk's furture birthplace.
www.trekfest.com. Shatner can reunite with the original Uhura, Sulu and Chekov.

Look, I like Shatner and all, but he really has nothing to do with the new movie and any cameo to him would have been out of Courtesy. I mean come on, when they had that Next Generation movie where he just happen to play himself through a space paradox etc… I mean could you stretch any harder to try to work this guy into the plot? The new movie looks great and will be a huge hit, he should have taken the cameo they were offering.

Re: djt78751 – you said "Oh well, while the preview looks good, it looks like they're ruined the franchise as far as fans of the original series and the next generation go."

I'm a fan of both and can't wait to see this movie. The other movies, after Star Trek 2 and the "Back in time Borg one" had gotten too hokey. It's about time that they made one like this.

    27. 27

This is a very old rumor.

Also, Kirk is not alive in the "future", like Spock is.

    28. 28

I LOVE Mr. Shatner, but I think it's time he let it go. I read that Chris Pine did indeed receive a nice letter back from Bill and he put it on his fridge….they get along great - Bill is just mad that he's not in the film, he's not mad at the actors in the new movie.

      Live Long and Prosper!

Re: Spindoc – It looks like it gonna be action packed, but I'm not sure if it will have the intellectual bite of the Next Generation. I really enjoyed all the space/time continuum-ripped worm hole-space/time travel story lines. I'm wasnt a huge fan of the original serious and it looks like this will duplicate the action based story lines that prevailed with those episodes.

      ugh…who cares what william thinks.

    31. 31

this guy is a douche bag. My brother asked him for an autograph ages ago, (he was 9 then, 24 now) and Shatner was a complete asshole to him! I understand that celebrities need their "me time" and don't want to sign autographs every time they step out in public. But i don't think it's right to be down right mean to a child!

    32. 32

Bitter betti, takes 1 to know 1 ,patsy perez. From the Bitter queen himself

    33. 33

      such an egotistical baby

as if theyd want an old man amongst this cast

    34. 34

Maybe he just reached around? ;P

    35. 35

The part wasn't too small. His ego is too big.

    36. 36

Shatner needs to learn that there are no small parts, just small actors. burnnnn.

    37. 37

Pine better watch out, or he'll find his head held underwater in a pool

    38. Scuba says – reply to this

      38

William Shatner on the original Star Trek is waaaay cuter then Chris Pine.

    39. 39

      He's old and gross.

The target audience wasn't alive when he was playing Cap'n Kirk and wouldn't recognize him.

Toddle off, Shatner. They don't need you.
