Homophobic radio show host Dr. Laura Schlessinger is releasing her own movie!
Ugh!
Dr. Laura Live! In Praise of Mom will be shown as part of a limited engagement over Mother's Day weekend in 450 theaters across the nation.
The film is based on Schlessinger's book of the same name and is a "tribute to stay-at-home moms everywhere."
Because working moms don't deserve any respect, right???

This coming from the mother of a soldier who was under investigation by the Army for posting racially insensitive remarks and cartoons making fun of rape and abuse on his MySpace page!

Oh Perez, you obviously don't actually listen to her program or what she says. You just believe the hype and what you hear. I have listened to her radio program for years and the only gay related call I ever heard was when a lesbian woman called in because her sister wanted her to lie to her niece and not acknowledge that her partner was her partner. The lesbian's sister wanted her to lie and deny she was gay and Dr. Laura told her NOT TO LIE. She told the woman to be true to herself and that it was not right to lie to the niece and that her sister needed to get a grip. That response doesn't exactly fit with the stereotyping she gets.

good for her. just because it's a tribute for stay at home moms doesn't mean she disrespects working moms. nowadays all you hear about is how a mom works and raises her kids and all that. and I give em props that they're able to do that. that they have enough faith in day cares and public schools and their own children that they'll stay safe and behave… because i sure in thee hell don't I am a stay at home mom who is always looked down upon by others because I chose to stay home and not work and leave my child in day care 8 hrs a day. and really a SAHM is a full time job, with no ending time for the day, your only payment, seeing your children smile, or laugh, or be happy. I think we all believe in freedom of speech. I am not for ending other peoples speech. When anyone deceives, that needs to be confronted. Frauds get by with a lot before they are caught. Some are never caught. Let her talk and have her beliefs and opinions. That is fine if she does not abuse others or her forum. Most people do not have their opinions or beliefs broadcast around the world. If you deceive someone that effects one or a few people, when celebrity deceives that is more far reaching depending on the situation. You are right she did convert. However, she was part of a strict Orthodox Jewish synagogue, not tolerant and open minded.
The story at the yacht club and the yachting community where she races is clear to those that know her. She stopped being an Orthodox Jew because she was caught cheating. She was not practicing being Orthodox as she claimed. She did not honor the Sabbath and she did go out and race her yachts on Saturdays. She talked about her yachting on the radio while she was saying she was practicing as an Orthodox Jew. She didn't say it was on a Saturday but everyone at the club knew when the races she bragged about happened.
She and her synagogue associates worked out a deal and she went out without full exposure that she cheated, they both saved face. She gave some half baked PR statement about it. The yacht club did not have the same media exposure and not enough people heard all sides. The yacht club people are good citizens and not making up all the Saturdays they saw her. Others heard her on the radio and knew when the races were.
An actual Orthodox Jew would have been living by the principles they claim. The Rabbis realized they had to dump her and she needed to get on with yachting. She was caught cheating again and again and finally banned earlier this month for cheating. She puts the blame on other people.

Dr. Laura left a trail of hatemongering when she attacked a doctor and other outstanding citizens of a tiny little hamlet. For one man that meant he was implicated as a child pornographer on the front page of her newspaper. Just because the rest of the nation is unaware of what has been going on, that doesn't mean she is not a no.1 hatemonger.
All of her hatemongering needs to be spotlighted. She was in the midst of the hatemongering attacks on the falsely accused man and she was even giving advice on how to handle those things. Within days her son was found with the lurid, violent, sex-oriented featuring children MySpace account. SHE DID NOT TAKE THE ADVICE SHE GAVE.
What happened? Terrorists, gays and liberals were blamed for hacking into her kid's account. Doc went silent and there was a news black out. The evidence was destroyed. College mates and a few others saw and knew about the the lurid MySpace before it was destroyed by the military. They have no doubt it was her kid. It use to be a crime to destroy evidence and participate in a cover-up.
Doc is promoting herself as a stay-at-home mom and she uses her relationships on sale products. That gives her the power to be a leader to others, some take her at her word and follow her. Everyone deserves to know the whole story and not only learn about her from her public relation releases.
