American Idol's Allison Iraheta "Secret" Past!
As the seasons of American Idol continue to be pumped out, the legitimacy of the contestants has gone from believable to practically non-existent!!
As it turns out, American Idol contestant Allison Iraheta is no stranger to the world of televised singing competitions!
According to reports, back in 2007, Iraheta was the winner of Telemundo's Quinceañera: Mama Quiero Ser Artista (Sweet Fifteen: Mom, I Want to be an Artist)!!!
The judges on Quinceañera were reportedly head over heels for Allison's singing and Iraheta ended up nabbing the $50,000 cash prize and a recording contract.
Although Iraheta is not currently under a recording contract (which would disqualify her from American Idol), it's more than shady that Idol producers would usher in the winner of an AI copycat competition!
Could Iraheta be a plant hand-picked by producers????

Nothing would surprise me with regards to Idol. They staged it this week when they said Adam was in the bottom 3 when he was not. the ratings are down so they had to do something dramatic. One day someone from the show will write a book and talk about how america's votes were not theirs - Idol controls it all.
This is one of the many reasons why I no longer what AI. I've put up with a lot, but the adding of the 4th judge and more shady singers was enough to make me not watch AI for the first time, from the first showing.
Technically, Britney Spears could get dropped by her label and go try out for Idol. Previous record deals really don't mean anything. That being said, I hate the bitch - she's way past getting voted off.

i think it's kinda dumb to assume that just cuz someone won a smaller competition that they were "planted" in a bigger one. the fact that she one the other just proves that she's good enough to be voted for, and thus she probably got in on her merits. that's like saying that if someone wins a senate race and then wins president that it was rigged. DUH! if ppl vote for you in the little race, they're gonna vote for you in the big one.
who cares where she came from and who brought her along, she's still one of the best singers American Idol has discovered…I'm definitely an Adam fan but I also love her, she rocks!
Maybe, but if enough auditioning artists blew the judge's doors off, Iraheta would have been replaced forthwith. She has enough talent, and it's not like she can't really sing, but is just some Idol producer's niece.
Adam's been singing professionally all over the place for a living. Pffft.

She's good, but her interviews are weird. I know she's only 16 but, shouldn't she know how to carry on a conversaton? I noticed they don't let her talk anymore.

Well Allison is very good singer, and the other two girls are the same Brissia Mayagoita and Luisa Lubell. All of this teen singers were excellent on the show. What happen is that Telemundo lie to them they never gave them the record contract..of Allison be by now a mega start..I feel sorry that a network lies that way.
hmmmm uncool. I don't blame this very talented young woman but it does seem that the producers of AI are really stacking the deck…at least until they are "found out!"
