I think this shows how diverse Robert Pattinson is. He is an actor and has to accept challenging roles. That's part of the job that makes you stand out from the rest. People are talking about how hot it is/isn't. Does it really matter? He is portraying another man's life, not his own. I think it shows he's comfortable with his sexuality.
