American Idol season 1 runner-up Justin Guarini has resorted to begging.
The hasbeen posted the shiteous song (above) on his YouTube with the accompanying message in the hopes of getting the tune on the soundtrack to New Moon, the second film in the Twilight franchise.
Says Sideshow Bob:
"Here's a new song that I, along with two of Nashville's finest writers- Shaye Smith and Tammy Hyler- put together expressly for the soundtrack of "New Moon". If you like it, share it, and ask for it to be put in the new Twilight movie."

It's not a bad song, but frankly it doesn't suit the feel of new moon, let alone the twilight franchise, and really it gets boring half way through

This song is just mediocre at best. It never really put me in the TWILIGHT frame of mind as did the soundtrack for the first movie. I have nothing bad to say about Justin, but this song is a no go for New Moon in my opinion.

Not really cut of the same cloth as the stuff on Twilight soundtrack. The lyrics DO sound cheesy and the music is only so-so for this type of story. I am expecting to be blown away by the NEW MOON soundtrack. This one just wont do the trick.

First, this is very unoriginal for the fact that all they did was take all the lines form the book and make it into a song. If you're gonna write a song about the story then it should say what the charecters don't. Also, if this kid knew anythign about synching music to film he would know that it's not about the lyrics. Most of the tiem a music supervisor doesn't want the lyrics to hit it on the head cause it distracts form the scenes. It's about the tone of the scene marrying the melody behind it. Wish people would stop trying to ride the twilight train!

I don't see what the problem is? It's not a bad idea actually, if the fans like it and speak up…the people putting the soundtrack together might just listen to them! The internet is a powerful tool nowadays, I think this is a brilliant idea. And for the record…the song is actually pretty good and I think it would fit in the film perfectly too! For those of you that don't know this…the "Twilight" soundtrack was one of the top 10 selling albums of the year and it's been in the top 10 ever since it was released back in November. So again, Mr. Guarini is a smart guy for doing this! He knows a cash-cow when he sees one and realizes that this could jump-start his career all over again.

The song itself isn't bad at all. Its just the singer. Give this song to a better singer and I like the sound of it. The words really go with the movie.
The music is pretty good, lots of vocal melody potential. However the lyrics, especially the chorus are really the let down of the whole song. They have the whole 'been done before vibe' and sound like the lyricists ran out of ideas for the chorus with 5 minutes left to complete the songwriting. Just my opinion.
