An unconscious David Hasselhoff was rushed to the hospital on Saturday, once more suffering from severe alcohol poisoning - according to reports.
The America's Got Talent judge has been battling a severe alcohol addiction for years - remember the drunken hamburger video????
The Hoff's teenaged daughter, 16-year-old Hayley, reportedly found him passed out on the floor of his Encino, California, home.
The frightened teen called her mother, David's estranged ex-wife Pamela, who rushed over and took him to the emergency room at Cedar's Sinai Medical Center.
Uhmm….
1) Why didn't they call an ambulance?
and
2) Why didn't they take him to a hospital that was closer to Encino, instead of Cedar's, which is all the way in Beverly Hills???

A source claims that a frightened Hayley kept “slapping her dad’s face” to keep him alive. “He was barely breathing when they got him at the hospital. He’s recovering. Pam was his bedside till 4a.m. this morning. This is about the 7th time he’s been taken to a hospital over the last few years with alcohol poisoning. How many visits will it take before he dies?”

I have been sober since '91…but before that, I slipped several times before I finally "got it." Alcoholism is a chronic disease…most relapse several times. He needs long-term treatment…big time. Saying a prayer for him right now…

Addiction, of any kind, is no joke. I've seen it up close and personal for many years, both personally as well as professionally. NEXT–Maybe all emts, amts, paramedics-should learn that technique-slapping one's face to keep a person alive-all that time wasted learning CPR, the defibilators, etc. AND, not all hospitals handle alcoholics-some just sober them up and let them go. -the family was trying to get him back to a hospital that was used to treating him. Helps alot, instead of starting ALL OVER AGAIN, history, medications, what worked, what did not, etc.

Sorry you don't like being reminded that it's a disease, but it is. You obviously attend AA, you quote it in your post.
