American Idol winner, David Cook's brother, who had been battling brain cancer for several years, passed away on Saturday.

Adam Cook was 36 years old.

So sad.

It IS sad….is the same brother was was there on the show with him…they showed him the night David won? He was the one trying out for the show originally? I saw there was a problem on Jordin Sparks' MySpace and then googled it now I can't stop crying…they were so close!!! It is heartbreaking to think what he is going through right now. R.I.P. Adam Cook

But yeah, Adam was his older brother. He had cancer for about 12 years I believe. So, so sad My thoughts and prayers go out to David and the entire Cook family. I can't even imagine what they've been through, and what they're going through now. But it was incredibly strong and selfless of David to put his personal grief aside and get out there and do Race for Hope, mere HOURS after it happened. He's a truly wonderful person, and I am sure that Adam would be very proud

this hits too close to home. my husband was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer four and a half years ago. he's fighting the good fight and doing well at the moment. my heart goes out to the cook family. peace and love
